It's been one month since Dakota and Austin broke up, and things have changed. People have become harsh and cruel towards the now, school-wide-known-gay, Dakota. Austin refuses to admit to anyone other than Dakota's small group of friends about their old relationship. Kat and Peter are still together and they seem quite happy, same goes for Mary and Garrett. Austin has found some new friends, but he still can't get his old ones off of his mind. Especially a certain brunette. The Baseball season is in full bloom and the team's first home game is in two days, How many things can happen in two days?

Austin's pov

I covered my face with my hands as Kat spoke to me. "Austin, I know you miss him, and he misses you. Who cares what your father thinks? I know he's okay with the torment from everyone, but you need to confess. I'm worried about him, he doesn't talk to anyone anymore. All he focuses on is school and Baseball." Her eyes widened,"That's it! Baseball! Their first home game is in two days! Austin, we have to go." I looked at her confused,"What, why?" "You do still care about him right?" I blushed,"More than you think." "And I know that you regret doing what you did, and I know you did it for a reasonable reason, but this might be your chance." I still looked at her,"To do what?" She face-palmed,"To make things right." "Oh...but I'm not sure, what if my dad-" She shook me,"Who cares what your dad thinks! Who cares what anyone thinks! As long as you're happy it shouldn't matter!!" I smiled,"Yeah, you're right. I'll do it, I'll go to the game." "Good boy." She said patting me on the back,"Now, let's get to class." She grabbed my hand and pulled me to our next class.

I watched guiltily as Dakota sulked to each one of his classes, but still paied attention to everything the teacher said. Then watched as he sulked towards the locker room for practice, his sulking was my fault. I did this to him. It killed me watching him, watching him feel the pain for what I did to him. He was a ghost of his former self, I took away his smile, I took away the life in his eyes. I wouldn't have done it if it wouldn't have seemed like the only thing to do, but now I have a chance to fix it, to fix everything. I swear, I'm going to fix it, he will smile and laugh again. His eyes will shimmer with life, all I have to do is go to that game.

"Hey Austin, what's up?" Alexis said as she sat down next to me at our lunch table. "Eh, nothing. What about you?" "Nothing." Alex, her twin, answered for her. She rolled her eyes,"I can speak for myself." He gasped,"Did you just roll your eyes at me!" She batted her eyelashes,"What are you gonna do about it?" He stole a french fry off of her plate. She placed her hand on her forehead and pretended to faint. "No, sister." She sat up giggling and they both began to laugh. I shook my head smiling,"Actors..." They both stuck their tongues out at me,"So what if we love drama class." Alexis flipped her hair. "He makes sulking look hot." Alex said when Dakota walked by our table. I shot a look at him. "What, I'm kidding. I'm not gonna steal your man. Oh, forgot to ask you, but are you going to the game?" I nodded. Alexis squealed,"Are you gonna like, confess your love or whatever?!" I rolled my eyes and looked away blushing,"No, maybe, I don't know what Kat has planned." "You should hold up a sign saying that you still like him." Alex suggested. "Yeah, that's not a bad idea." They held eachother,"This is gonna be so romantic, we have to see it." "I know right!" Alexis responded to him. I rolled my eyes,"You guys are so dramatic." They both gasped,"How dare you say that! We are no such thing." I looked at them,"Seriously?" They giggled,"Okay, maybe alittle." Alexis said for them both.

The rest of the day went by slowly and boringly. I was eager for the game, eager to let him know that I'm still his. The next school day was even slower, people were hooting and hollering and getting pumped for the game, and I'm just thriving off of the fact that after it, hopefully, I'd be in his arms again.

I paid for my ticket and found a seat on the bleachers holding the sign against me.
