Love at first sight...<3

Dakota's pov

   I mean yeah I have friends and all but most of the people I barely know and can't really count them as more than an acquaintance. Yeah I like to meet the new kids when they show up which is exactly why I joined this buddy program right, to meet new people? Yeah I guess it is, but when I entered the main office I was nearly taken away. Of course I have suspected that I may or may not possibly have an attraction to guys but damn.

   The moment when my eyes wondered their way to him I was nearly blown completely away. He was no doubt, the cutest guy I had ever seen in my entire life. I stood there staring at him when he caught sight of my very creepy gaze. I stood up straight and walked over to him then very uncomfortably introduced myself, "Hi I'm Dakota, but you can call me Kota," I said while smiling. He responded with a smile and introduced himself also," Hi Kota, I'm Austin, It's nice to meet you." "It's nice to meet you also. I'm your "buddy" until you get comfortable around the school." I said trying not to be too awkward and weird while motioning for him to follow me out the door and into the main lobby.

   "Hey Austin can I see your schedule?" I glanced down at him. "Sure," He said while handing it to me. With a quick scan, I noticed that I had almost every class with him other than Trig and Band. I see why they paired us up. After alot of pointing and many questions, I finished explaining to him where everything was 30 minutes into first period, so we still had close to 15 minutes to spare. "What do you want to do?" I asked him with a slight bored look. "Whatever there is to do." The smile on his face spread almost ear to ear. "Well that's the problem. It's winter and I'm guessing it's probably too cold to go and sit outside, and what can we do in 15 minutes but be back in time for next period?" I spoke down at him, my bored look evaporated the more his smile began to glow. "We could just hang out in the lunch room." I shook my head,"They're probably still cleaning." His smile lessened, and I had a slight instinct to bring it back,"Maybe we could just hang out here, ya know?" "Yeah, that sounds good."

   I slumped against the wall and propped up my leg while he stood infront of me,"So, where'd you move from?" Before he spoke, he pulled his book bag strap back up," Ohio." I twisted my wrist around and a loud pop erupted from it and Austin shuddered. "I heard Ohio was nice." He grunted,"It isn't." "Oh.." A loud ring boomed through the hallway and students quickly flooded the hall. That went by quicker than expected. I look down at him,"I should head to Trig." "Oh okay," He smiled,"I'll see ya' later." Right before he left his arms wrapped around me in a warm embrace. A slight blush ran its way across my cheekbones but quickly vanished. "Bye." He turned around and walked away. I continued down the hallway to my next class.
