Austin's pov
We stood just inside of the entrance to the school building. He motioned for me to go first,"Shall we?" I nodded,"We shall." I stepped out the door and into the sunlight. The warmth felt refreshing against my skin. It felt strangly different compared to the sunlight in Ohio, was that weird? The rays felt drier, yet thicker and sweeter. Once we got to his car, he unlocked it and even opened the door for me which I thought was weird but strangly sweet. I doubt he actually wants to show me around. This always happens to the new kid. Someone gets assigned to show them around for the first week, then they ditch them. I know him and his friends won't even talk to me next week, but he did invite me to hang out with him, OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL. How could I decline that? Maybe he does want to be my friend...
With a flick of his wrist, the keys twisted and the car erupted to life then we began to drive. I sat there and got lost in my thoughts then I was suddenly awoken by his voice. "Hey where do you want to go? We could go to Athens or we can stay here in Crawford?" He asked me. I didn't really want him to travel all the way to Athens and waste so much gas, so I suggested maybe we should hang out around here. "Subway it is then." I shook my head in protest,"No, no. You don't have to waste money on me, really." His smile beamed down at me,"But I wanna." I sighed,"Fine, buttface." A loud gasp escaped his mouth,"What did you just call me? I will turn this car right around!" I giggled,"Dare you to." His eyebrow rose, but he continued to drive onward.
After we stopped and got our sandwiches which he refused to let me pay for, he stopped the car in front of a park. "Why're we here?" I asked. "It's nice this time of year, ya know? Especially in the morning when there's frost all over the ground and the pond's slightly frozen." "Oh, that does sound nice." He smiled,"Speaking of the pond, follow me." After a short walk down a trail, we finally got to the pond. I scoffed,"Pond? This is basically a lake." I looked up at him when he didn't respond. He was looking out at the distance,"Look at the clouds, and the sunset. It's so perfect, like from a painting." He smiled,"I wish I could draw them." "Oh," I began,"Are you an artist?" He chuckled at the term artist,"No, of course not. Stuff like that's lame." The word lame seemed to roll off his tongue in an unnatural way, as if the word wasn't supposed to be meant to describe a noun such as artist. I could already tell he enjoyed it; there was no way of hiding it. "Lame? Are you calling music lame? That's an art." He ignored my question and let it quickly change into a rhetorical one while his smile once again beamed down towards me. I had an urge to smile back, but forced myself to frown instead. I looked away quickly. How can I ignore such a lovely smile? I sat on the bench sitting close to the pond.
I don't need to be thinking about that. Especially since he is a guy. but he wont stop smiling at me....I could tell he was beginning to noticed my some-what sour facial expression. "Hey whats wrong?" he asked. "nothing." I replied smiling. He didn't buy it and sat next to me. "You know you can tell me if something is wrong, right?" I nodded to him even though I wasn't going to tell him. I think he knew I wasn't and decided to forget about it. We ate in silence for quite some time until we decided to walk amongst the trails that snaked their way through the trees and began to point at animals and giggling with the little kids that roamed around with their parents. Kota then realized it was getting alittle late and he decided to take me home. The drive to my house was silent and awkward. Before I got out of the car, I turned to him,"Thank you for showing me around. I really enjoyed,"A blush bloomed its way onto my cheeks,"Spending time with you." His eyes glistened at me and I continued on to do something I would instantly regret. Quickly, I leaned forward and planted my lips against his cheek. It was almost like he was stunned completely still. I hopped out of the car and ran into my house without looking behind me once.
That night I thought repeatedly of how stupid I was to do that, I barely know him. Yeah he is attractive. Yeah I am alittle attracted to guys, but I just meet him. What am I thinking...
Is it good so far...I think i might update more. Comment me and tell me. ^-^
