Dakota's pov

   I know that I overreacted, but what he said did hurt me. He was embarrassed because I touched him. He didn't seem so embarrassed while it was happening.  I made my way back into the house and out the front door. I wondered around the lake for awhile and admired everything. The water was so blue. Blue like his eyes. Everything I saw reminded me of him. The gentle breeze, the soft sound of birds, the warmth of the sunlight. I need to stop thinking about him. I found myself walking on the sandy beach. I gazed out over the shimmering waters. Everything here was so beautiful and breath taking. I could hardly believe something this majestic had still been left unharmed by man kind. Well some-what unharmed. I sat there for a long time. I still can't believe how embarrassed Austin is of me. The sun was beginning to set over the water when I heard someone walking up behind me,"Hey..." I turned around to see Austin. "I've been looking for you." "Why? I thought I embarrassed you." Austin looked down,"Kota, it sn't you that I'm embarrassed of." "Than what is it?" "It's that they caught us." He said with a sigh. "Then why'd you act so, so hateful?" He looked at me sadly,"I didn't mean to make it sound so mean." His lip quivered,"I'm so sorry." I looked away and heard him sniffle,"Will you please forgive me?" I looked at him and back to the water. I took in a deep breathe and turned to him,"Of course I will." 

   His face lit up like a light bulb and he ran towards me. He jumped on me and I fell backwards. "I could never stay mad at you." I leaned upwards and kissed him. He smiled,"I didn't mean to make you upset..." I kissed his forehead,"I know you didn't. It's okay, I'm not hurt or upset anymore." He laid down ontop of me. We just laid there for awhile. I held him in my arms tighter as it got darker and colder. "We should head back now. We have to wake up and go home tomorrow." He sighed,"I don't wanna go home, or go back to school." I pulled him closer to me,"Neither do I." He sat up,"Well, we don't really have a choice do we?" I shook my head,"No we do not." He stood up and I did the same. We held hands and walked back. 

   "Where the heck have you two been?" Garrett asked us right when we walked through the front door. "We were on the beach." "Kat's been looking for you. I have no idea why but she has been." "Um okay, where is she?" "In the bathroom getting ready to go out." "With who?" "No idea." I let go0 of Austin's hand,"Be right back." I walked to the bathroom and knocked on the door,"Um Kat? It's me, Kota. Heard you were looking for me." The door flung open and I was pulled into the bathroom. "I can't think of anything to wear!" "Um, wear to what?" "I'm going on a date with this guy I ran into while jogging." I looked at her,"Is he cute?" "He's gorgeous!" "Where are you going?" "A movie." "That sounds nice." "Mhm, now help me find something to wear!" "Okay, okay. Calm down." "I will not be calm!" I looked in her bag and pulled out a sweater and some legging type pant things. "Here these seem good." She pushed me out of the bathroom while she got dressed and pulled me back in,"Now, should I wear a beanie? Earrings? Ugh, what shoes?" I picked out a black beanie for her and some small earrings. She went with a pair of converse. "Are you ready?" "Mhm." "Good because I'm tired of looking at your clothes." "What's wrong with my clothes?" "Nothing." She glared at me for a second before she heard a knock on the front door. "You ready?" "I already said yes."

So um yeah...I hate this chapter. I rewrote it a few times and I am still not satisfied but I need to update this story and my other ones so yeah. Sorry that it's short. VOTE/COMMENT!
