You were small always had been always would be. You had learned in life that sometimes you had to just be creative to reach that mug on the top shelf of the cabinet. Today was no different.
You were currently in the kitchen climbing counters like it was a jungle gym. However, you had to be alert and always listen for Henry, as he hated when you climbed counters. He was always afraid you were going to hurt yourself so anytime he saw you he would set you back on the ground and lecture you.
You were trying to reach a bowl that you never used hence the reason it was so ungodly high up. You were on the kitchen counter reaching as high as you could, trying to shuffle things around unable to see what you were doing.
You took down a few glasses that were in the way and we're just about to reach the bowl when you felt two hands wrap around your waist and pull you backwards.
"Wait don't you dare pick me up off the counter, I almost got what I wanted stop I'm not that small!"
"We already talked about this why do you insist on trying to reach things higher up when you have me to do it for you?"
"I'm perfectly capable of getting things higher up." You huffed moving your hair from your face.
"Then why are you looking in the wrong cabinet?"
"What?"
"The bowl you claim you can see and reach is in the cabinet next to this one."
"You must've moved it."
Henry reached and grabbed the bowl from the adjacent cabinet and set it on the counter "Now will you stop climbing on the counters?"
"No promises" you called already putting the chair back in the dining room.
