My heart pounded in my chest as I looked over at Steven with an amused smirk on his face. His arms crossed over his chest as he leaned against the wall.

I had never been in such an awkward situation before. I was standing in front of Kens wife. Someone who he told me was a complete non factor. A set up, a sham and irrelevant. But with the look on his face and the venom is her eyes, she was the most relevant person in this room right now.

I glanced back at him and he was still frozen. He wasn't objecting to anything and I must admit I was shocked. Shocked enough to step out of the way and let them handle whatever she came here for. Her death stare followed me until I had fully stepped from in between them. Then she turned to him.

"How dare you...How dare you..." Her voice seemed fairly controlled now. "How dare you ignore my calls Kenneth?"

"I..."

"Don't even!" She waved her hand. "I came by your condo five times! I called you 100's of times! And you ignore me? You ignore me??"

He didn't even bother to try to talk this time.

"Who is she huh?" She pointed to me. "Who are you??"

"Tessa, his..." I looked at him, a death stare in my eyes. "Friend."

Which pretty much concluded that we were breaking up.

"Friend, huh?" She scoffed.

"He told me that your marriage was arranged by publicists..and that you had a real boyfriend over sea."

"I was in Cuba for a year doing modeling. He knew that. We'd Skype every night. Talk on the phone everyday. Send each other pictures every morning. Then...I knew something was funny when everything slowed down. One day he'd forget, then a week of no contact...then a month. Then you know what I see three months later?!" She held a newspaper up to his face. "I see you and your 'friend' here on the fucking front page!!"

Its a big picture of him on one knee on the stage at the Grammys and me smiling wide while he slides the ring on. Underneath the headlines say 'Kenneth Collins gets Engaged at Awards!'

"You lied to me!!! I came back to see you a month before and you told me everything was fine. That you had just been busy and you promise things would get better! You told me that! At my hotel, you swore to always love me!" She pushed his chest angrily. " hijo de puta sucia!!!!! (Filthy son of a bitch)!"

I couldn't understand Spanish, but by the way she was spitting it...it had to be something terrible.

"Beck!" He grabbed her wrist. "Lets go somewhere in the back and talk about this..." He growled.

"NO!" She wrenched her wrist away. "You want to make every public then let's make it public, huh?"

I looked over at Steven who was laughing his ass off silently. I had never felt so humiliated.

"Beck! Shut up!"

She slapped him hard and he clenched his cheek. I could see the muscles in his jaw flexing with anger.

"Don't TELL ME to shut up!!!"

"Lets go talk in private..." He growled.

"Well you like making headlines so much..." She waved the newspaper backing away. "Lets make 'em baby."

"BECK!"

"I still have your publicists numbers, I'm going to fuck your career up." She smiled.

"Beck, you were gone what was I supposed to do?? Be lonely?!"

"So it's my fault?" She laughed pointing to herself. "Well don't worry you don't have to be alone for long..." She swung the door open. "I'm due in March."

You could honestly hear a pin drop. I felt like I wanted to vomit. My heart was about to pound out of my chest. My eyes began to well with tears and they only fell quickly when Ken looked back at me. I couldn't even bring myself to look at him so I ran out.

I could hear his feet behind me and I tried to speed up. I made it to outside when he pinned me against the brick wall.

"Stop it!! You stop it right now!!!" He ordered pointing to me.

"I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!" I spat pushing his chest. He grabbed my wrists and smacked them away.

"This isn't fair."

"What isn't fair? That you had a wife all this time and she's carrying your child?? Yes that's not fair!" Hot tears stung my face.

"Don't you dare try to act so goddamn innocent!"

"Innocent??"

"Yes! Like you've done nothing wrong!! You don't wear the white hat in this relationship! You're no Angel!"

"GET OUT OF MY FACE!" I screamed.

"Truth hurts doesn't it?" He laughed, "You are not the victim, Tessa. Its time you stop acting like it!"

"At least I'm not pregnant!"

"Not like you almost weren't."

"Yeah but I'm not! You talk about having a family and raising kids but you already have a family! You have a wife and a child on the way! Why did you want me?? What was I for?!"

"I meant all those things I said to you. Not an once of it wasn't true."

"Well all of this sure is the biggest proof ain't it?" I laughed bitterly. "Everyone warned me about you. I never listened."

"That's because I'm a drug. You know what else is a drug? Fame. You became addicted. I don't blame you." He tilted my chin up. "You're my drug too, Tessa."

I swatted his hands away and pushed his chest. He stumbled back this time.

"Well I'm going to rehab." I started to walk away but he turned me around. Venom dancing in his eyes.

"What's that supposed to mean??" He growled.

"It means that we are THROUGH."

His hand came up and wrapped around my neck pushing me back into the brick wall. My hand wrapped around his wrist trying to move it. Somehow his strength was just better.

"We aren't through until I say so."

"Let go." I muttered pushing at him.

He let go. But somehow not on his own terms. Ken was in the air as Steven had his collar. I watched in horror as he threw him on the car windshield.

I shivered as glass surrounded my feet.
