My fingers rolled along the steering wheel as I found myself in the parking lot of the tattoo shop. I wasn't sure about being here alone since I last had Steven here with me. The rough area kind of chilled me to the core. The local skate punks slid along the broken down rails from a once standing staircase. I remember walking up those closely trailing behind him from my own nervousness. Him somehow making me feel safe. I had to get that feeling and I had to get it now.

I got out the car and took in a deep breath. I secured my white beanie on my hair as the wind tried to sweep it away. This reminded me of how much I admired snow from the inside. And the reason why. I walked up the slippery steps and my ears got invaded by heavy metal music before I could even swing open the door. Needless to say when I stepped in my ears almost bled. I went into the room with peeling red walls and the source of the music. I saw Veronica on the couch reading a magazine, Jon bobbing his head back and forth, Seth giving some girl, who looked way too young, a tattoo and Aaron drinking a bottle of beer. His eyebrows flew up when he saw me. Along with everyone else.

"Assistant, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Veronica asked shutting her magizine. "A tat? A smoke? A beer?"

"No thanks,"

"You know, you've got some nerve showing up here." Seth dabbed the fresh tattoo. I could only stare at my feet when he glanced up at me.

"I know. I just...I want to see him. You guys know where he is?"

"Nope." Veronica shrugged.

"Even if we did, you really think we'd tell you?" Jon questioned harshly.

"You really did it this time." Seth nodded.

"He doesn't fuck with many people and you're the reason why." Aaron sipped his beer.

"I deserve that." I nodded in agreement. "But I really want to talk to him."

"Give us one good reason that we should let you see him." Veronica folded her arms.

"Because." I was pretty shocked that I couldn't come up with a reason that made any sense. Every reason that I had only appealed to myself and me and Stevens personal relationship.

"Do you even have a reason?" Aaron chimed in.

"I want to fix everything. Permanently. "

"This isn't a home improvement show, babe." Veronica shook her head with a smile. "As his best friend...it's my job to make sure he doesn't get hurt."

"That's why I want to mend the broken parts. I want to just talk to him and settle this complete misunderstanding." I assured but by the look on their faces I could tell they weren't buying it.

"How can we take you seriously if you've got your engagement ring on?" Seth nodded towards my hand. I look down at it and back up at them.

"Its a misunderstanding." I finally say. "I want to straighten it all out."

"Too bad." Veronica hissed. "Cause he doesn't want to see you."

"Just tell me where he is." I cried.

"Hey is my tattoo done?" The young girl poked her head up and looked down at her arm.

"I have to add the words." Seth mumbled.

"My sweet sixteen is in ONE HOUR." She pouted like a kid.

"I'm doing you a favor. We could get shut down for this. So calm down."

"UGH!" She threw her head back on the cushion allowing her blonde hair to swing. "Hurry up."

"Yeah, Yeah." Seth hushed.
