Kileleon

             Wow, what just happened, Kileleon could not believe what he did. He was messing around with this girl he barely knew, but it felt like he knew her all his life. She had this lovely mysterious charm to her. He didn't care if she was a vampire that didn't matter at all.

He hated that he had to rush away from her so quickly. If he didn't get home in time his parents would know he disobeyed them. He would be in super deep trouble. He starts swimming super fast, when out of the coroner of his eye he sees a dark shadow. He pauses and just stays still hoping the shadow doesn't see him.

It's silent all around him, and he thinks he's safe now when all of a sudden he hears this loud roar and it says "Kileleon. Is your name Kileleon?'  

Kileleon reply's back "Yes whose asking?"  

The Deep roar comes back and says, "Kileleon I am the king, your grandpa your parents are worried sick about you, they sent me out here to find you before the evil vampire girl ate you".

Kileleon screams back, "She may be a vampire but she's very sweet and she would never harm us mermaids".  

The king replies back, "I don’t like you out here swimming alone messing with vampire girls so there is only one way to stop you from being with that girl on land".

Kileleon is in shock he knows what the king means; he's going to take away his ability to become a human. Kileleon can't let that happen. The King then says "Kileleon im going to take away your ability to become a human, it's the only way to make things right"

Kileleon is so angry and frustrated now his whole body starts to shake and the tendrils of water start acting up again and he starts strangling the king and Kileleon says "I will do anything besides let you take that from me, you can't do that, please I will kill you right now if you don't change your mind". Kileleon lets him go.

The King says, “Wow, you sure are a tough one, fine I will make you into a slave in my castle, you will do everything and anything for me, if you disobey my orders you will be punished very badly"

Kileleon knows he's going to hate this but it’s better than losing the ability to become a human he needs that for MaryAnn. The king Grabs Kileleon by his arm and drags him to the castle, he throws him into this dark jail cell and he says "I'll be back for you soon"

Kileleon just lays there in that dark battered and beaten up jail cell. It smells like somebody died in here, he looks around and sees a dead body that looks like it just started rotting. Kileleon starts gagging and trying not to cry. Right then he hears the jail cell open up and right in front of him is his parents. His dad looks at him and says "Son, You're a disgrace to our mermaid race; I hope you rot in hell like your cousin Malcom over there in the corner.

He always imagined what happened to his cousin Malcolm they were really close, he was told he got eaten by ravenous sharks. He looks over at Malcolm's body and he starts to cry, because he remembers the good times with him.

Kileleon's dad looks at him and says "Kileleon you have always been a little weakling, the only reason you're alive is because of your mom I wanted you dead but she wanted you to live"

Kileleon looks at his dad and says. "I hate you"  

His dad looks at him and just says "Good" with a evil smile on his face. After his dad leaves the king comes in and says "Let’s begin your slave duties."

Everyday Kileleon had to wake up at 5:15 in the morning and starts doing his chores. He has to polish the kings’ crown and shoes, he has to clean the toilets, and he has to clean the castle from top to bottom everyday.

Every night before Kileleon falls asleep he thinks about MaryAnn. He wonders if she ever thinks about him or worries about him. Oh, MaryAnn was sure something else, every time they talked and hung out nothing else mattered. He knew this would happen but he didn't care because if he died right now he would still cherish that one day he spent with MaryAnn on the beach when he was a human.  

A month passes by and still all Kileleon can think about is MaryAnn. He just knows she's probably dating some other guy by now. She probably thinks he doesn't care about her. Kileleon has enough of this place. He hasn't eaten good in a whole month. He's weak and tired and starving, so he decides to break out of the castle to go find MaryAnn and get something to eat.

He stays up till 3:00 in the morning when he's sure the king is asleep and there's less guards. He puts his plan to work. He runs all the way to the very top of the stairs where there's a hole to the roof. He will get up there through the hole get on the roof jump and swim till he finds MaryAnn and some food. 

He gets to where the hole in the roof is and he swims up there he pushes the thing up and he sees the beautiful ocean. He swims up on the roof and jumps off.

His heart starts beating really fast because he's in complete shock. This is the second time he's disobeyed his family. He keeps telling himself is it worth it for a girl and answers, Yes for a girl like MaryAnn it's totally worth it, a man should fight for love, not give up on her, no matter the obstacles.

He swims far away from the castle and he goes to the beach where he last saw MaryAnn and he sees this young girl he doesn't know if its MaryAnn or not. He get's out of the water and she starts walking over to him and she gets closer and she says "Hey, are you Kileleon?"

Kileleon then says "Yes, who are you?"  

She replies back "I'm Val Maryann's best friend, she's been worried sick about you for the last month, she thought you died, what happened?"

Kileleon replies back it's a long story can I see MaryAnn?  

Val then says "I think she's sleeping you can wait for her, at the bench over there, she comes there every morning to watch the water, to see if she sees you." Kileleon just smiles he can't believe she looked for him, he couldn't believe she didn't forget about him. Val says "Well I have to go, see you some other time".

Kileleon walks over to the bench sits down, and just waits for the morning, he ends up lying down on the bench and falling asleep. In the morning he starts feeling these hands shaking him and out of his squinted morning eyes he sees a figure that looks like an angel and he finally gets his eyes adjusted to the sun and right there in front of him is MaryAnn, with a huge smile on her face, Kileleon stands up and MaryAnn wraps her arms around him and they hug each other tightly.

MaryAnn looks at him and says "you look terrible. What happened to you?"

 Kileleon looks at her with tears in his eye and he holds Maryann's hand and says "I’m fighting for you."
