Chapter 5

I walked back into my house to find my parents grabbing their jackets and car keys while my baby brother Harry sat on the floor watching them..

I frowned, "where are you all going?"

"Your mum & I have to go to your aunts house!" Dad says fiddling with his car keys..

I paused for a second..

Aunties house was like a 3 hour drive away from here!? And tonight is the night I see George and wha-

"No! No wait! Not today! What if you don't make it home in time to go to the Brookley hotel?!" I say getting worried..

Mum sighed.. "We will be back for 8 o clock I promise! This is an emergency (your name)!"

I couldn't say anything else before they were already at the front door..

I looked down at Harry..That means I have to mind him too!

"But mum!" I moan.. "I don't even have a dress for tonight and your telling me to stay here and mind Harry! How am I suppose to get ready!"

Dad was already getting into the car but mum strutted over to me, opened my hand and put £80 in it..

"But mu-"

"Bring Harry into town with you and buy a dress! Ok? Ok! Bye darling." She says interrupting me and closing the door behind her..

I stood there for a second with my mouth open..

I didn't know what to say..or do!

"Alrighty then." I whisper to myself..

They better be home before tonight..
