*Ok so I messed up by putting the weeks to make it take more time, when in reality these tour dates weren't that far apart. Like, they were in the same couple weeks. Try ignoring my epic failure in the previous chapters, although it will annoy me into going back to edit sometime soon I'm sure. BTW thanks to everybody who took the poll, each duo got 2 people picking them. Cool stuff, looks like there is some detectable chemistry, even between the bad guys ;). Anyways, I spent most of the whole day on this chapter, I hope y'all enjoy it at least half as much as I enjoyed writing it. :)) xx*

Lexi's POV:

2rd grade:

"Hey Lexi," Hunter greets me as he plops down in the grass beside me. I grin, his hair is really messy.

"Hey Hunter," I say softly, my eyes going to the daisy in his right hand.

"I brought you this flower. Will you be my best friend forever?" He asks, his cheeks turning pink as he grins bashfully. Smiling, I take it from him, liking the way my hand feels when our skin touched.

"Heck yeah," I say, nodding my head a good 5 times for good measure. He beams.

"Goodo, that makes me really happy."

Present time:

I walk out of the hospital beaming as I look down at my two feet, free to frolic however I please now. That's right, no more sprang ankle. My red chuck taylors have never looked so good to me.

"Someone's happy," Hunter muses from behind me.

"Yup!" I say, popping the p at the end as I turn around to face him. "I'm freeeee." He chuckles, taking my right hand in his left as we begin walking to the van we had rented for our time here. His fingers fit the spaces between my own perfectly, as usual.

"I'm glad. Now you can enjoy the last day of the Most Wanted tour." We walk down the sidewalk towards the parking lot, the overall atmosphere being as good as our moods. The sun is shining bright & high in the clear blue sky, not a single sign of any bad weather to come.

"It's the last day? Already?" I feel myself frown, not believing that during the short time I was with them I was too injured to fully enjoy the experience. I swear I have the most brilliant luck- not.

"Yup, I can't believe it's bout over either. I'd love to just keep on going forever, but we can't."

"Time flies," I say sadly, kicking a small grey pebble forward.

"Yup, but ya know, I can't wait til we get to our apartment in Nashville," Hunter says cheerfully, emphasizing the word 'our' as I notice mischievous glint is in his eyes. My lips curl up into a smile. I can't believe I forgot, I'm moving in with him.

"I can't wait either. Wow, I can't believe this is happening."

"That's a good 'I can't believe this is happening' right?"

"Definitely. Last year at this time I didn't even think you'd ever like me like that, now I'm moving into your place."

"I could say the same," he chuckles, his thumb stroking my hand soothingly. "Except, you know, the moving into your place part. I'm not moving into yours."

"Right," I laugh, feeling giddy, & excited for the future. Our future.

No two words have sounded better together.

We get into the rental van & begin our way to the hotel, where we have the day to chill til the final show tonight. The guys have promised a movie day in our nice room, then tomorrow the city is ours to roam.
