*Samantha's POV*
As I jump my last hurdle I run my way around the track. I look up into the seats above me and I see Aaron sitting there smiling.
He waves at me as I run by and I just smile, too tired to wave. I finish running so I stop at my bag to get a drink of water.
I quickly do a cool down and stretch before getting my sweatpants on.
I begin to walk out of the track arena when I bump into Aaron making me fall right down on my butt.
" Dude! Your like a brick wall!" I say while rubbing the sore spot.
''Sorry Cupcake." He laughed and helps me off the floor.
We walk out the doors and head towards his car when I feel an arm wrap around my shoulder.
" So what are we doing this summer Cupcake?"
" What do you mean we?" I ask getting concerned.
" Well we are going to see each other everyday right?"
" I don't know what your talking about." I reply getting frustrated. He unlocks the door and get in.
We drive out of the parking lot when he quickly turns his head to me.
" I guess they haven't told you yet."
****
Aaron pulled into his driveway around 6:15.
We get out of the car and I head in the separate direction.
I whip around and thank him quickly before I run across the street.
As I open my front door I hear a faint, "See you tonight!" I turn around to see Aaron shut his door.
" I'm so confused!" I whisper to myself.
I go upstairs to have a quick shower. I change into Roots sweatpants and a really baggy sweatshirt.
I grab my laptop and lay it on the bed before watching Netflix.
****
I must have fallen asleep cause I was jolted awake by the sound of the front door slamming.
" Is anyone home?" My mother calls from downstairs.
" I'm upstairs." I yell to her.
" Can you come down here I have to talk to you." She replies.
I groaned and set my laptop aside. I stumble down the stairs to where she is sitting at the kitchen table.
She motions for me to sit down so I do.
" Okay, so I need you to get ready cause we are having company over tonight."
" Mom!" I groan, resting my head on the table.
" I want you to dress nicely okay?"
" Fine." I sigh, dragging myself back up the stairs.
I might have passed out on my bed when I should have been getting dressed, but I ended up having time to get ready.
I look at myself in my full body mirror. I picked out a black tank top and a white skirt with black strap heels.
I straighten my hair and put it into a high ponytail.
As I'm putting on my earrings I hear my doorbell ring so I fish my last earring through before heading downstairs.
When I walk down the stairs my eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw Aaron and his family standing there.
He looks up at me with a huge smirk on his face.
My mom introduces me to his parents, Lesley and Bruce Philips and his sister Karen.
We make our way over to the table to sit down.
My parents sat at either end of the table while Aarons parents sat on the opposite side of Aaron, Karen and I.
Our parents started talking about their jobs and politics, boring stuff like that until it started getting interesting.
"Sam, did you know that you and Aaron used to be best friends?" My mother informs me.
I'm sure my mouth dropped but I was too much awe to notice.
I look over at Aaron who was in as much shock as I was in." Ya you two were very close when u were 2-3, until you and your family moved to Florida." Aarons mom tells us with a smile on her face.
" Sam you know those pictures in the photo album of you and that boy in the play group we used to hold at our old house?"
" Ya."
" That is Aaron" She chuckles.
" This Aaron?!" I point to him in disgust.
"Yup." She laughs.
After that my mom serves a dinner of chicken and rice. Half way through the meal I feel some ones hand rest on my knee.
I whip my head to Aaron but he is just eating his dinner. Then the hand starts to creep up higher until it reached the top of my thigh.
Before he could go any higher I stood and excused myself from the table. I was getting myself a second helping of rice when Aaron walked in.
" What's wrong Cupcake, you got up really fast?"
" Oh, there was something under the table that was bothering me." I grumble sarcastically.
"Oh, do you know what it was?" He says as he walks closer to me until I'm trapped in the middle of the counter and Aaron.
He wraps his one arm around my waist and the other on my thigh where it had been under the table.
He leans in and I quickly slap him in the face. Hard. He stumbled back with shock.
I grab my plate and dramatically walk passed him and into the dinning room.
****
After everyone was done dinner, my mom gestured everyone into the living room.
I chose to sit on the couch while Aaron was sitting across from me on the rocking chair.
I was off in dream land thinking about how I could be lying down on my bed watching Netflix right now when someone saying my name snapped me out of it.
'' Sam?" My dad asks waving her hand in front of my face.
" Oh, sorry, yes dad?"
" We were going to tell you tonight that we are going to India for a business trip." He informs me.
" But you can't leave I have a competition!" I whine.
" We know, that's why your going to stay here." He states.
"What to you mean, I can't stay by myself for two months! I'm only 16!''
''That's why your going to stay with Aaron's family for July and August.''
Oooooh big twist!!!
Would you guys stay with Aaron?
