Chapter 7 "Are we friends yet?"

"Come on now, it's alright Emmah." I remembered vaguely. It was something that my mum used to say to me when I was sad. Suddenly I remembered this when I was praying to her. I know it's just my subconscious but I wanted to console myself pretty badly.

Loosing my parents was the biggest trauma that I've ever experienced in my life.

Especially when you know that they dearly loved you and held your hands only tighter no matter what problems you faced. Today was a special day that I have arranged in the memory of my parents. I take this moment to say to them everything about my life. Thanks to Clem she made me a memorial headstone somewhere in the corner of her garden.

The thirteenth of every month is supposedly spent in this manner. A special two hair actually.

Held my own hands tight with one another and shut myself off this world, just to pour my heart out to my parents. What I realised is that when you close your eyes, the world becomes dark and gloomy.

I had just wandered about thinking how my parents' life is supposed to be since they always have their eyes closed, forever

But Im pretty sure that they might have a wonderful afterlife, for atleast being there for me and looking after me. I prayed to God everyday for that.

After my pitiful hours of condolences, I was utterly flustered to find an unlikely figure standing infront of me.

Davean Ace.

He was almost doing the same thing as me.

"What are you doing? " I questioned.

"Praying to mum and dad?" He raised his eyebrows annoyed at my question.

This reminds me of how I met him. One day, my parents and I were praying for my paternal grandmother beside her headstone, I was in the age of five then. Loosing my concentration, I start to roam around the lonely cemetery. Suddenly a hand puleds me back and said "Pray with mum and dad. They are valuable." He was a boy of dark brown eyes and jet black hair spiked up. I thought he was a ghost at first and weeped in fear, way too loud.

And that's how I met Davean.

"Why are you here?" I inquired again without caring for the fact that he was already annoyed with me because I was already extremely angry with him.

"D-dont.." He stammered.

From the night he kissed me and up until now, we had no interaction with each other. The other night, I pushed him away but was unable to walk away because it was that stupid forest. He didn't dare utter a single word afterwards and then we just headed home.

"Don't what?! Just go away, okay??!" I almost screamt at him wildly that made me regret the moment I said it.

"And Im not going to apologise for anything." He walked away quietly from the garden.

"Yeah, what about that kiss then?" I hissed.

"No, I wont!" He smirked.

Without a word, I ran upto him. Not to hug him and be romantic but actually land a punch on his face. I should have punched him earlier when I hadt the chance. With my fist curled up into a ball, I almost smashed it into his chest. But unfortunately, he caught me from my waist and pulled me up into thin air then twirled around like a maniac.
