The forest was filled with dark oak trees, and the feeling of dread loomed over the siblings and Ventar, though he still seemed the most calm as he led the way to the main Tree Pig camp. Isaac heard a hiss behind him. He turned to see a red flower, dangling from its stem, and staring into Isaac.

Isaac yelped and swung his axe at the flower, immediately killing it, and spilling acid over the dark ground. Isaac stepped back and blocked the others from it.

"Well," Cierra remarked. "Now we now that we need to get our butts in gear and kick up the pace!"

The four of them hurried along the trampled path towards the Main Tree Pig Encampment.

Meanwhile, things were looking extremely bad for Jordan. Someone entered the room, and, at first, Jordan couldn't tell who it was.

"Let's see if you are worthy of the title of 'feared warrior'."

It was Porteran.

Two Tree Pig guards grabbed hold of Jordan by the arms, and painfully forced him onto the table. Jordan thrashed about, violently and defiantly, desperately trying to free himself. He knew what was coming next. Porteran, in human form, held Jordan down by putting his weight onto Jordan's chest. The guards were able to strap Jordan to the table and restrain him after a full ten minutes, and only because Jordan had been tired out, making it easier for him to be restrained.

After Jordan had no hope left and the straps prevented him from moving a muscle, Porteran gave him a moment to breathe.

"You do know that we are a merciless people," Porteran prodded. "We are as merciless in battle as we are in torture."

"Then I guess I'll be able to handle it," Jordan spat. "Mountain Cows can be merciless under the right circumstances."

Although Jordan seemed calm in his tone of voice, he was shaking in fear. He had no idea what Tree Pig torture was like, so he didn't know what to expect, though he had an idea. Each of the four civilized nations not only had a flower faction backing them, but they also represented one of the four elements. The Mountain Cows represented Earth, the Tree Pigs represented Fire, the Assassin Sheep represented Air, and the Lake Chickens represented Water. The Yellow Flowers backed the Mountain Cows, the Red Flowers backed the Tree Pigs, the Lavender Lilacs backed the Assassin Sheep, and the Blue Orchids backed the Lake Chickens. Through this method of lore, Jordan had a feeling that Tree Pig torture had to do with their specific element. It was always like that. Fire based torture? That didn't sound pleasant at all.

After that train of thought was finished, Jordan got his answer.

He was right.

Hey, guys! Sorry for not updating in a while! I had a bout of writer's block that just wouldn't end! Also, I had to get holiday shopping done. What's weird is that since my cousins' mom is Jewish, but their dad was brought up in an atheist home, they celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas! That's only part of the weirdness of the Wannall family.

Also, I'm starting a new "book" called "The Cassi Smith Convos"! It's a series of short stories based on the Pinterest conversations and roleplays that I've had with my friend and fellow adventurer, Cassi Smith! Also, if you are interested in reading that series, be careful. We have had some really dirty conversations and roleplays! Not in the sense of foul language (I don't cuss!), but in the sense that we are both VenturianTale fangirls who have a crush on the same sibling, Jordan. The series will be continuing as long as Cassi and I have interesting and story-worthy conversations!
