"Hallelujah! It's cheese quesadilla day!" cheers Owen, "I'm getting double."
"Are you getting quesadillas too, Shay?" asks Clark.
"Yup, I love Mexican food." I said, happily.
Owen, Clark and I headed to the lunch line and grabbed ourselves trays.
"So, like it here so far?" asks Owen.
"It's pretty cool. I'm sorry, Orewood that I ever doubted you." I said.
"Shay! Oh my god, you're in my lunch?!" I heard a familiar voice.
I looked around and saw Colette, walking towards me.
"Hey Colette." I said, "How's your first day going along so far?"
"Pretty good. Okay, I'm lying. I meant amazing!" she says, "I love it here!"
"I never knew you had a sister." says Clark.
"Unfortunately, I do." I said.
"You know, you love me, Shay." says Colette.
"Hey Shay!" I heard someone call out my name.
Trevor walks towards me, along with Darren beside him.
"Hey Darren, Trevor." I greeted them.
"Sheesh, how many friends did you make already, Shay?" Colette asks.
"Five." I quickly, replied.
"Wow, I only made two." she says.
"Amazed?" I asked.
"Yes." she says, "I never knew you could be so popular on the first day."
When we all got our lunch, we sat at a table and enjoyed our lunch.
"Love this quesadilla." says Colette as she takes a bite out of her quesadilla, "And this school."
"Looks like your sister's liking this school so far." says Trevor.
"Yeah, I guess so." I said, sighing.
As we all continued eating, I heard an unexpected grunt from Owen. He was placing his Spanish binder and textbook on the table.
"That's what she said." says Trevor, smirking.
"Apparently 'he' did too." says Clark, chuckling.
"What is all of this?" asks Colette, looking at Owen's stash of papers.
"Your sister said that she would help me with Spanish in lunch." replies Owen.
"Ew, Spanish. I hate Spanish, that's why I take French." she says.
"That's because you were failing." I said.
"Well, the teacher was a total bitch!" she complains.
"Do you think you can help me with vocab first?" asks Owen.
"Sure." I replied, smiling.
"Awww, study buddies." jokes Colette.
"Shut it, Colette." I snapped at her.
"You have really nice eyes." says Darren, out of nowhere.
"Um...thanks?" I said, confused.
"Sorry, I'm just really bored." he says.
"It's fine." I said, giggling.
"Speaking of eye color, my favorite is blue eyes. It just attracts me." says Colette.
She glances at Trevor, Clark, then to Owen and Darren. She then stops and looks at Owen.
"Shay, why is your sister staring at me like that?" asks Owen.
"You have blue eyes." I replied.
He looks at Colette who was giving him a small smile.
"What color eyes do you like, Shay?" she asks me.
"Me? I don't know...blue eyes too maybe? I always wanted blue eyes anyway." I replied, nervously.
"So, you like my kind of eyes too?" asks Owen.
I looked into his eyes and froze for a second, "Um...yeah."
"Hey, I have blue eyes too." says Trevor.
He stares into my eyes and smirks.
"Interesting?" I said, confused.
"Trevor, you're scaring her." says Clark.
"No, it's fine. Just, wierded out." I said.
"Sorry." apologizes Trevor.
Pretty awkward first day at lunch.
I wonder what this school has in store for me for the rest of senior year.
