(close as strangers by 5 seconds of summer)
'carry on..'
i inhaled deeply,
'outlast the ignorance..'
my fingers twitched, watching you talk to yanick,
'moving on..'
'alex, don't do it-!'
my subconscious said to me warningly.
'survive the innocence..'
you laughed when he told you something,
'won't be long.. won't be long.. won't be long..'
i saw the way yanick was looking at you,
so i closed my eyes,
'you know it's gonna get better..'
and breathed out.
i was going to be okay.
i didn't really believe it,
but i wanted to.
damn it, daisy.
i'm trying for
u s .
i just wish you weren't so
oblivious.
