(the 1975's somebody else)
an overwhelming
sadness
loomed over me,
the urge to cry
even more so.
seeing you talking
to yanick
hurt
me.
my chances
were
already nonexistent
in the first place,
but seeing him
talk to you
was like
a blade
sinking
deeper
and
deeper
into my heart.
the pain was
sharp.
the pain was
brutal.
but daisy,
sweetheart..
does he care for you
the way i do?
does he know you
as well as i do?
i wouldn't think so,
considering
we're best friends.
but hey,
you're
straight.
i'm
b i .
i don't stand a chance.
why should i even bother,
right?
