Snowball Fight - ( NaLu )

Ah, it's that time of the year again. Snow everywhere, causing a beautiful white majestic scenery.

Everywhere is covered in white, apart from a pink and blonde blob in the distance together.

Shall we see what they're up to ?

~Lucy POV~

"Remind me why you're following me again ?" I sweat drop at Natsu gathering snow from the houses and rolling it into a giant snowball. I think he was still mentally five years old.

"Because you're alone Luce, and so am I. So I thought, why don't we just hang around together so both our problems are solved...and of course, you're fun to be around." He said averting his gaze from the snowball to mine. I immediately blushed as our eyes made eye contact.

Why does he have to be so damn cute. Why won't my heart stop beating like crazy when I'm around him...ugh.

"Thanks..." I responded shyly.

We walked around a little and obviously stopped at a few Christmas food stands since Natsu's stomach kept grumbling.

"This tastes delicious.." He said at the fifth food stand we stopped at.

"Natsu, it's the same thing you got at the last food stand..." I pointed out.

"But a different person made it Luce. Duh." He stated in a matter of fact way. I rolled my eyes and fiddled around with my hot chocolate. Although he seems to be really dumb, he has such a big heart which is hard to find in guys nowadays.

I smiled remembering all the times he saved me, and all the times he was there for me. I couldn't of had asked for a better person to be teamed up with.

My stomach suddenly began grumbling itself and I blushed at the sudden loud outbreak, hoping Natsu didn't hear it.

But once again I was wrong, I underestimated his dragon hearing.

"Oi, Luce, here you can have the rest of this. I'm full. I've bitten it, but I hope that doesn't disgust you." He said offering me the remaining part of his pretzel.

"Thankyou Natsu, I'm not disgusted, why would I be ? You're my friend." I said gladly taking the pretzel, hoping it will quieten down my stomach.

~Natsu POV~

Friend. Friend.

I like the word friend, don't get me wrong, but I don't like it when Lucy uses it with me....because I see her as more than a friend...

I told Mira today at the guild and she told me to spend more time with Lucy, although I already spend every day with her.

I may seem a little dense at times but I'm not dense enough to not know my own feelings. I just wish Lucy would return them, because I love her more that words can describe, but I can't help but feel as if she doesn't feel the same way.

Once she finished her pretzel we stood up and headed outside. Her golden long hair bounced along with her as she walked. The cold caused her cheeks to become more pink, making her look like a fragile porcelain doll. There was no words to describe her beauty.

~Lucy POV~

On the way back, Natsu seemed mysteriously quiet and instead of walking ahead in front of me, he trailed behind me. For once in his life that Baka seemed to be deep in thought about something. Should I be worried ?

I hesitantly looked behind me and spotted the pink haired Baka keeping his gaze fixed to the floor. He noticed I was looking at him when he briefly lifted his head and for some reason started blushing ?! Does he have a temperature ??

"Natsu are you ok ?" I ask concerned, walking over to him swiftly. I put my hand on his forehead to check if he had a temperature but luckily there were no signs of fever showing at all.

"Lucy...I need to tell you something important." He said with a serious look on his face. His nervousness began to get contagious and soon enough I became a nervous wreck too as I awaited what he had to say.

"What is-" A cold snowball collided in my face as the idiot began to erupt into a fit of giggles.

"Nyahahaha ! Lucy your face was p-p-priceless !" He laughed clenching his stomach. I began to feel my blood boil inside. I wiped the  remains of the snowball off my face and began to make on myself as he was distracted.

Without thinking about it twice, I threw the snowball so hard it hit him on his shoulder and made him lose balance and fall into the cold, wet but soft snow.

This time, it was my turn to laugh.

"Hahaha you should've seen your face, it was p-p-priceless I mocked as he sat there pouting in the snow. When he got up, his backside was wet as well as the rest of his bottom half of his body and his arms. I tried to hold in my life but failed to do so.

"Oh, it's war Heartfilia." He said rolling his sleeves up. I gulped as he began firing snowballs at me. I quickly took cover and began to make some myself hitting him back.

This is going to be a long war.

"I give up ! I give up !" I said as I began to shiver. The wind was beginning to pick up and the fact that I was wet did not help me keep warm.

"Ha ! I won !" He shouted as he did a victory dance. He immediately stopped when he noticed that I was shivering. He walked over to me and placed his hand round my waist pulling me close to his body and wrapped his scarf round my neck. I felt the heat rising to my cheeks instantly, contrasting with the cold weather.

"Na-Natsu wha-"

"Shhh Luce, I'll keep you warm and walk you home. Come on let's go." He said pulling me closer.

It felt so right...I wish he'd never let me go.

~Natsu POV~

Once I took Lucy home, she told me to wait for her as she was going to take a quick shower. She also handed me over a spare change of clothes as my wet ones dried.

Once she came out, after a full hour, she was wearing some warm pyjamas. She took a seat next to me as we sat there in an awkward silence as we waited for my clothes to dry.

I caught her sneaking glances at me every once in a while and every time I caught her she'd turn around and blush.

I decided I couldn't wait any longer. I needed to tell her.

I got up from my seat and walked over to her and sat right next to her. She immediately gave me a confused glance due to my sudden actions.

"Lucy, there was something I wanted to tell you before....I was just to shy to say it and scared.." I said looking into her deep chocolate eyes.

"Lucy...I love you..." I finally said it. I felt like I'd lifted a huge weight off my shoulders.

She didn't reply, in fact, she sat there staring at me in shock. Her mouth opened to say something but immediately shut after a few seconds.

I began to stand up from the couch, so I could go home and curse about getting my feelings rejected in peace. "I'm sorry, I guess I'll-"

She suddenly grabbed me back down and grabbed my face towards her making our lips collide and kiss in sync.

"I love you too Natsu, I always have." She said before parting briefly from the kiss.

This is definitely a Christmas I'll remember.

HEY EVERYONE ! I know this wasn't very good :( I'm sorry :( I'm in so much stress right now with school. I gave piles of work to do EVEN THOUGH ITS AKMOST CHRISTMAS ! HOW SICK.
