Kelly top left, Dallas and Daija top right, Cari middle left, Kyron and Saint & Star bottom right, and Bella and Brittani bottom left

Woke up this morning found a letter that she wrote

She said she's tired that I'm always on the road

To hard to swallow being alone, she needs someone at night that she can hold

She must have told me a thousand times before, silent cries I use to ignore

God knows I love her
Didn't mean to hurt her

We sat in the living room of what now is just Kyron's house since Jordyn and Amari had been living with me.

It had been a week since that whole Daija mess and after telling her off and breaking down in my car, I told Kelly about everything, and since then we've barely even said ten words to each other, with the exception of arguing.

Daija understood why I left, but she wanted one thing, and that was for him to take a paternity test with her daughter Dallas, scheduled for today, even though she 'knows' he's the father.

Jayda struggled to open the manilla folder as Jordyn sat next to me with Amari in her lap and I looked up at Kyron, Star, and her son Saint across from us.

"Ky," Jayda called, her emerald eyes scanning across the paper.

"Amari, plug your ears." Jordyn said and Amari obediently did so, shutting her eyes and repeating lalalala.

"Kyron you are the father."

I bit my lip looking to my right and by Jordyn's face, you could tell her heart was completely broken.

She gently pulled Amari's arms down, making her stop and she stood up and I did too since I drove.

"I'll see you in court." she told Kyron with a slight sniffle, and walked Amari to the car.

"Please, you don't think you could get her to talk to me." Kyron grabbed my arm, as I headed to the door.

"You fucked up bad this time," I shrugged.

Jayda gave him the results and we both got in my car, and I started it as Jordyn whaled in the passenger seat.

"It's okay mommy. Tomorrow will be better." Amari reached forward and smiled, touching Jordyn's arm from her car seat.

Jordyn smiled at Amari, and tried to calm herself as I backed out the driveway and headed back to my house.

"I have nothing." Jordyn whispered. "Not a house, not a car that isn't in his name, not a job, not a got damn thing."

And that's the exact reason why I didn't stop working when Kelly told me to. Because what would I do?

But although Kyron's dumb, he still has a big heart, and would supply Jordyn with everything her and Amari need, so she'll be fine.
