Chapter 13: An Old Face

"Yo, it sure has been a while." Our mysterious visitor said.

I felt like I knew him, but I couldn't draw the memory and yet I felt like its something I shouldn't have forgotten under any circumstance. My gut told me to trust this guy by the more I thought about him the more my head hurt. I could see that Vincent was going through something similar however Artemis stood there expressionless but she kept her silence.

"Who the hell are you and what do you want?" Vincent asked.

Our visitor looked a little disheartened then spoke up.

"So you don't remember me do you, well I guess I can't be too shocked at that. I hoped by now you would but she did tell me otherwise." He said.

"Why do I feel like we should know you?" I asked.

"Well for starters I'm one of your greatest friends at least I hope I was haha, anyways I'm Kyle."

Hearing that name gave my head a migraine about the size of a boulder, I could see Vincent rubbing his temples as it must have hit him too.

"Gah what the hell man, why do I know that name?" Vincent groaned.

Kyle put his hand to his head like he was getting a call from someone.

"Can I do it?" He asked to no one in sight.

He smiled then thanked no one before walking to Vincent.

"Alright this may take the wind outta ya but trust me you'll thank me for this." He said apologetically before putting his hand to Vincent's forehead.

There was a spark of green light when his hand made contact and Vincent dropped to one knee practically gasping for air. I ran up to him knocking Kyle away who landed on his ass.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?!" I roared.

"Ack fuck man, He'll be fine I just gave his memories back to him." Kyle complained.

"I-I remember everything..." Vincent said as he stood up.

"Great! Alright now your turn."

"Wait what?" asked turning towards Kyle only to get tapped on the head in the same manner.

My vision flashed green as I saw my life return back to me, my childhood, my family, Ray, Kyle. It all came back to me I could hardly breathe from getting it all back even my name 'Marcus'. I looked back up at Kyle.

"What the fuck happened to your face man." I said with a grin.

"Thats the Marcus I know! Come one get up." Kyle said offering me a hand.

"No but seriously, what the hell happened?" I asked taking his offer.

"Lets get inside first. I'd rather not be out here any longer, we were just attacked you know." Ray popped up.

"I saw that as I was making my way here." Kyle said.

We all turned to the head inside when I remembered something.

"Oh! Hey can you give Artemis her memories back too?" I asked hopefully.

Kyle looked at Artemis, it looked as though he was just noticing her. His gaze told me looking at her reminded him of something unpleasant.

"Inside first." He insisted.

I looked to Artemis who was staring intently at Kyle though I couldn't get a read on her. We continued inside and the guards all raised their rifles at Kyle, Caren stood at the center and looked angrily at us.
