This night has been so much fun. Jay took me to this semi fancy restaurant then we went to go get ice cream, and now we're just walking. He stopped and looked at me, "Wanna sit?" I shrugged my shoulders, "If you want, sure." He chuckled and sat down on a bench that was right there. He looked at me and smiled, I couldn't help blush as I sat down.
"So," I looked over at him. "when are going back." "I'm leaving Monday." His head shot up. "Tomorrow?!" What it couldn't be. I looked at my phone. Sunday, 9:10pm. Shit. I put my phone down and stared at the ground, "I guess so." You could even feel the disappointment in my voice. Why? I faced him, "When are you leaving?" He cleared his throat, "I'm going back upstate Tuesday but then I'm going back to Korea next week."
"But I thought your president sent you here to keep it low?" "He did but-" He sighed. "Last night I got an e-mail requesting I go back. It's been 6 months so I owe it to my members to go check on them." I nodded.Well damn, this was fun while it lasted.
He suddenly grabbed my hand and looked me in the eye, "Don't worry. I'll text you everyday at the very least." I gave him a small yet weak smile. That doesn't make me feel better. It's getting late, I think it's about time we go back. I sighed but tried to cover the sadness in my voice, "Jay." "Hm." "Let's get going. I got to get up early in the moring." He nodded and when he stood up he held his hand out to me. Fuck it I don't when I'll see him again. I grabbed it and stood up.
As we walked back to the car we were talking about random things, trying to forget that we'll separated soon. "Oh so hey!" Jay said as he if something just slapped his memory, "You never told me how you got your phone back, or how you managed to slip your number in my wallet." I giggled. "About that."
Jay and I were still at the pizza place but Jay left me alone as he went to go use the bathroom. We sat at in a booth and I put my feet on his seat but then I felt something. I looked under the table to his wallet laying there. No...yes. I reached for it and of course I went to look at his license first. Haha! Ew he looks so gross! Well I shouldn't be talking, mine is worst. His birthday is April 25th, he's 5'7? I'm 5'5 yet he seems a bit more taller. Oh well. I closed his wallet and leaned back. I looked at a napkin in front of me. I smile began to creep on my face. Let's leave a message! I asked a waitress for her pen.
Now what to write? I got nothing! Damn. Well I guess I can write my number, not like I'll ever answer I lost my fucking phone. I wrote out my number and in the corner of my eye, I saw him coming. Shit. I quickly put in and closed his wallet. As he came back I waved it up. "Cute picture." He shook his head with a half smile then playfully snatching it out of my hand.
"So that's the number. What about your phone?" "Jenny said I left it in the car. So when I got back to my room I saw it on my bed." His lips formed an "O" shape and nodded his head in understandment.
The car ride back to my hotel was super quiet. I looked out the window, Seattle. You've been nothing but good to me. "Why you smilin'?" I blinked a few times to regain focus and looked over at him. He had one hand on the wheel and he leaning back with his other resting on the side.
Lookin' cool.
"What's up?" He looked at me, then back at the road but with a smirk. "What's up with you? You were smiling out the window right now." I was? I shrugged my shoulders and leaned back in my seat. "I was just thinking about my time here. Even though it was a weekend, it felt like a whole week." He chuckled then sighed, "Yep. That can happen." His sarcasm though...gonna get slapped little boy. I huffed and rolled my eyes.
