HAZEL'S P.O.V
We all filed out of the gym with our gear in any type of bag we could find. We had all settled on using the school mini-bus, but we had one problem.
"Can anyone here drive?" I asked biting my lip, we were all roughly 14, so no one had a licence.
" I can SORT of drive?" offered Ruben.
"Really?" asked Lion.
"Well it's practically the same as in video games, right? And anyway, I'm our best chance at getting out of here!" she had a point.
" Right, Ruben, your driving."
" Should we not check the school to make sure nobody else here?" asked Kerry quietly.
"Yeah, your right... I'll cover Science and Art, Hazel you do English and Maths, Ruben you can go to H.E., the library and canteen, whilst your there pick up as much food as you can, and Kerry, you take Geography, History and languages. Have I left anywhere out?"
" Erm... ICT suite! I can go there after I look in English and Maths, they're on the same floor."
"Right, okay, meet here in 15?" Said Lion as we began to run off.I had checked in all the maths classrooms and was just about to open the door when a heard a groan, I looked around, but I couldn't see anybody. It was probably nothing, I'm just imagining things. I turned back to open the door and screamed. There was a face pushed against the glass, it was a girl I knew, she was in my chemistry class. She was screaming and there were tears running down her cheeks. I tried to push the door open but it was locked.
"Open the door!" I shouted at her. All she did was held up her two arms... Well, where her arms used to be, there were just two bloody stumps left and you could see her shoulder bone sticking out. I screamed again. My English teacher then walked over to the door, she had crusted blood all over her mouth and when she smiled there were pink bits in her teeth... She was carrying that girls arm in her hand. I quickly threw my schoolbag off and searched through it, and brought out a hammer. I smashed the glass, covering my teacher in glass, the girl had been smart enough to move away from the window.
"Come on!" I yelled at her. She jumped out through the gap of smashed glass and we sprinted down the corridor, shutting all doors behind us, I looked back to see the English teacher trudging her way down the corridor. "EMERGENCY!!! MEET BACK AT BASE NOW!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I ran up to the top and bottom floors and did the same. 5 minutes later we were all crowed round in a circle.
"What's the matter?" asked Lion. I brought the girl forward and motioned to her arms. She was losing a lot of blood and already looked very pale. There was no point in asking her how she was, because she clearly wasn't okay.
" You know when the factory exploded?" I asked the group. They nodded,
"And you know the way we think that a virus of some sort was in the air for a while? Well they must of been working with some freaky ass things because everyone that went outside or had a window open is now a zombie... Every single one of them..."Hey guys! Sarah here!
