Raye
I've been sitting here for hours.
I swear if I ever get into this situation again, I'm scheduling a damn appointment first. I know better now!
It's amazing how many people even come to the damn clinic. Luckily my dad didn't have to work today so he was able to watch my mom while I came here because I don't know what excuse I could have made up with Chris.
It's Saturday though so I should have expected a lot of people to be here but I need to get this done and I can't do it any other time of the week so I'll just have to wait.
I played on my phone and texted Chris a bit. He asked how my mom was so I told him she was doing better. Then he started talking about how he was gonna fuck my shit up when I got home which turned me on to the fullest.
I don't think I'm gonna tell him about the abortion right away though. I don't want him to overreact so I'm gonna give it time.
He stopped texting back quickly like he usually does a few minutes ago but I didn't pay it no mind because they FINALLY called my name.
"Raye Boyce!" This tiny nurse called out causing me to get my things together and follow her. We walked for a little while until she led me into this room before saying, "The doctor will be right with you."
Great. More waiting.
Luckily, I didn't have to wait so long this time for the doctor to come in. She greeted me with a warm smile and shook my hand. I gotta give it to her though, she was really pretty.
"Hi Ms. Boyce, my name is Dr. Fredericks. I'll be caring for you today." She sat down and opened up the folder that was in her hands.
After she read over a few things, she looked up at me, "Alright Ms. Boyce, first–"
"You can call me Raye."
She flashed a quick smile, "Okay Raye. First off, we must discuss your options. This would be an in-clinic abortion but there is an abortion pill. Also, have you considered putting your child up for adoption instead of following with this procedure?"
I honestly haven't thought of that but I hear that many people can't seem to put their child up for adoption once they see the baby's face and I wouldn't wanna take that chance.
"I wouldn't want to do adoption. I couldn't."
She nodded, "Okay and have you ever had an abortion before or any type of serious procedure done?"
"No, this is my first time." I answered.
She closed the folder, "Okay, what we're gonna do is run a few tests. We need a blood test to make sure the procedure will be done right with minimal risks."
I nodded and rolled up my sleeve. She left out of the room, I'm guessing to go get the things she needed to take my blood. Ugh, I hate needles.
I waited patiently and checked my phone every now and then to see if Chris texted me back. He must be busy or something because... no response. He's probably fooling around with his boys or something, I don't know.
Hearing the door open, I slightly jumped because it broke me out of my thoughts. I chuckled and held my hand over my chest. "You scared me," I told her slightly breathy.
"I'm sorry," she laughed out. She placed the needles down causing me to stare at the them. I quickly looked away to take my mind off of it.
"Do you have any children?" I asked out of pure curiosity. She stopped what she's doing and looked at me. Shaking her head for some reason, she continued to make her way over to me and grab my arm before cleaning it with alcohol.
