Double Trouble [A OHSHC Fanfic]

Chapter 6

Haruhi and I go to school the next morning together. I can tell Haruhi notices that I'm still tense from yesterday's encounter, but she doesn't mention it, thankfully. We walk into the school as the bell rings to get to class. We walk to class, no words passing between us. Somebody scares us both right as we are about to enter the classroom. Haruhi and I both glare at the twins, who are now laughing on the floor.

"You should've seen your faces!" they say in between laughs.

"Not in the mood, Hitachiins." I mutter then walk to my seat.

I can feel them staring at me, silently.

"What's up with her?" they ask Haruhi.

When I'm in my seat, I watch Haruhi to see how she'd respond.

"She's just not having a good day so far, that's all. Just go easy on her, alright?" Haruhi says.

"Aw man!" they pout, right before the bell rings.

Everyone sits in their seat then the teacher walks in. This is going to be a long day...

At the end of the day, the Hitachiins pick me up from my class again and we walk together to the host club. All day they tried to figure out why I was upset which made me a bit mad, but at least they're showing they care. Once we reach the doors, I almost laugh my ass off. The boys who are there already are all dressed in pirate costumes.

"Tasi-Chan!" Honey runs up to me and hugs me.

I smile for the first time today and hug him back. I hear a groan and see the twins crossing their arms.

"What?" I raise an eyebrow.

"How come you smile when Honey comes and not with us?" they ask.

"Because Honey wasn't bothering me all day and asking why I'm in a bad mood." I glare at them.

Honey frowns.

"Tasi- Chan is upset again?" he asks.

I smile lightly.

"Just thinking that's all, Honey. I promise." I pat his head.

"Okay!" he skips away to Mori and they start talking.

I sigh, knowing he knows I'm lying but let me off the hook. As soon as I expect girls to barge in the door, I walk over to Kyoya. We stood in silence for a bit until I look up at him.

"Whatcha doing?" I ask.

He looks up at me a bit surprised, but his expression turns normal afterwards.

"Just budgeting the clubs fees. We are a bit short on money... I'm trying to figure out how we can get a bit more profit. We don't need much, but I can't figure out what else the girls would like." He states.

I look at Haruhi, whom is looking at me from a table away. I guess she overheard the conversation. She knows what I'm about to say. She smiles, then nods. I close my eyes and sigh. I look back at Kyoya and he looks at me in question.

"I might be able to help with that."

I stand up and walk over to the piano, not caring that the girls are all staring at me now. I clear my throat, then start playing "2 Poor Kids" by Ruth B. I smile as I sing along with it. It's such a cute song and it may be kind of rude singing it in front of all these rich people, but I think they understand. They know I'm a bit poor and I guess I'm singing it to let them realize that you can still love while you're poor. Girls start to gather around, amazement on their faces. Tamaki comes at one point and starts playing the lower notes of the song. I look over at him, still singing. He plays the piano too. I continue until the song is over. I look up when I finish and almost everybody is next to us. The twins, Honey, and Haruhi are all in the front of the girls. The twins and Honey were staring at me as if I were cute little kid. Everybody starts clapping and I blush. I bow my head in thanks, then look at Tamaki and smile. I squeeze his hand.
