I walk into my apartment an hour later, slamming the door. I groan as I walk into my room. There's nothing really in there yet. My dad and I still have to go shopping for furniture, which will probably be tonight. Great, the one time I actually don't want to do something with my dad. I lay on the ground and just stare at the ceiling. My dad walks in a few minutes later with groceries.

"Xyla! Come help me with the groceries, please!" I hear my dad call from the kitchen.

Xyla is my middle name. Only my dad and my brother call me Xyla. I only allow those two. Well, now only one. I sigh, standing up and walking into the kitchen. I help him unpack the bags and put the fridge stuff away first. As soon as those are put away, I put away the cabinet food. Once those are done, I collect the bags that have holes in them and throw them in the trash. The ones with no holes, I put them in a bag under the sink. Once I've done that, I stand up and see my dad frowning at me.

"What?" I ask.

"What's wrong, that's what." He crosses his arms.

I sigh and look at the floor. I love talking to him about things, just not... boys...

"I made some friends at school today... I think..." I look to the side.

"That's great, sweetie." He smiles.

"But..."

"Booty..." he frowns.

I smile with my lips for a second, staring at the floor but I look back up at him. His frown comes back and he turns serious.

"We're never going back to the park we went to two days ago, okay?"

"Why not?" he raises an eyebrow.

"I went to this... club... after school today and I was there for a while just sitting next to one of the guys. I was playing my uke quietly when I heard one of the girls talking to two of the guys I know that they should go to the park... TO SEE US!"

"That's great! We have fans already!"

"No that's not great because if they hear me sing, they'll recognize me." I stare at him for a while.

A silence fills the room and he starts to understand the problem at stake. He bites his lip.

"We need those fans though..." he scratches his chin, "Can't we just go back and hope they don't go?"

"That's too risky though..."

"Think about it after a dinner date?" he asks.

I smile a little. Dad and daughter dinner dates are the best. It's the time where my dad and I sit together and have dinner like we're on a date. Then after we go to get ice cream. Once we finish our ice cream, we run to the bathrooms at a park where nobody goes and change into costume to do our act. Now that I think about it, I'm just like the boys I met today. I'm doing an act to make people happy. I sigh. I guess I understand why they do their acting but mine is different acting and for a different reason.

I slowly go to my room and pack my costume and after accessories. I go back into the kitchen and smile lightly at him. We walk out of the apartment, his arm wraps around my waist. I smile at him again, just happy that I have someone who won't let me down. I look at my feet as we continue down the stairs then stop when I see Haruhi. I gasp as we stare at each other in surprise.

"Tasia? I didn't know you officially live here..."

"Oh yeah... Sorry I forgot to tell you." I blush.

"Who's this, Xyla?" I look up at my dad.

"Xyla?" Haruhi looks confused.

"That's my middle name..." I mumble, "Haruhi, this is my dad. Dad, this is one of my classmates and a new friend I met the other day when we came to look at the apartments."
