Riley P.O.V.:
I've had a crush on Lucas ever since I first saw him. Maya knows I like him, but I think she likes him too. She's my best friend, and if I have to hide my feelings for her to be happy, then I will.
(at the bay window with Maya)
Maya: you haven't said a word since we left school.
Riley: Really? Oh, maybe it's just because I'm distracted.
Maya: Distracted by what?
Riley: Oh, nothing... it's just...
Maya: What?
Riley: Nothing. I was just distracted.
Maya: Riley, you're my best friend. I know you, and I know what happened that night. We can't keep hiding secrets from each other.
Riley: NOTHING HAPPENED THAT NIGHT! WHY CAN'T WE STOP TALKING ABOUT IT?
Maya: Okay. I'll stop.
Riley: Thank you.
*silence*
Maya: you know we have to talk about it at some point.
Riley: Maya...
Mr. Matthews: Girls, it's time for dinner.
