Farkle: you haven't talked a lot.
Riley: I know.
Farkle: listen, we can't keep doing this anymore.
Maya: doing what?
Farkle: hiding secrets from each other. All I know is we were sitting together that night and Riley was sitting real close to Lucas, way too close to his face, and then suddenly Maya gets upset and runs away...
Maya: I did not run away! I walked away! And I was NOT upset!
Farkle: that's not the point! The point is that you need to feel what you want to feel, and if you can't talk about it and solve this it'll ruin everything! You need to make a choice, or I will.
*Farkle walks out*
Riley: were you upset?
Maya: were you going to kiss him?
Riley: I would never do that if it would hurt you.
*silence*
Riley: do you like him?
Maya: no, of course not...
Riley: then why would you walk away?
Maya: I don't know... I was just... tired... I guess...
Riley: you can go with him to Sarah's party.
Maya: no, Riley..
Riley: it's okay. I didn't even like him that much.
Riley's P.O.V.
I do still like him. But I have to do this for her. I probably wouldn't even have a chance with him anyway.
Maya's P.O.V.
What was she thinking? Lucas can't know that I like him. But I just get this feeling of excitement and nervousness every time he looks at me. I don't know how to handle this.
