deception arises
as fantasies ache
you try to hold back
but you've drowned into the pain
depression arises
when the feelings
of your heart, infiltrate
the vacuum in your mind
desertion arises
as a thought, to a mother,
to a father, who just can't seem
to bear such stress
distraction arises
as nostalgia draws her dagger
and slowly sinks it into
the abdomen of your mind
keeping you away from sleep at nights
destruction arises
out of a battle to maintain sanity
to find peace in one's self
and to remain balanced
on a string of thread.
