Jenna's POV:
As I came out of the bathroom, my cell phone buzzed in my pocket. I dug my hands in my pocket for my cell phone. It was Amelia's text.
Hey! Jenna.
I'm leaving early today.
I have a bad stomach.
Bye!
:*
Oh! poor Em, I told her not to eat all that junk, but she didn't listen. I hope she gets well soon. I began walking towards Ellie, who was keeping her books in the locker.
" Hey! Ellie. Where's Crystal?"
" Hi! Jenna. Crystal won't come with us. She's a bit busy this afternoon, some family gathering you know."
" Oh, okay! Let's go."
I wonder what Crystal's up to. I still didn't inform Em about this. I didn't have time. I couldn't tell her that day at her house, everyone was there. I planned to say her today, but she left early. Now, I have to go to the bakery. I have to tell her tonight before it's too late.
We walked out of school and started walking towards the bakery. The bakery is few minutes away from school.
_____________
We went to the bakery and started looking at the catalog. Honestly speaking I wanted to buy all the cakes, each page was filled with creamy, delicious and mouth watering cake.
I started looking for a purple and white cake.
" I think we should go for this purple and white cake." I said to Ellie who was scanning her eyes on all the cakes.
" Yeah, we should. It'll be enough for all the guests."
We ordered the cake which was rectangular in shape and it looked extremely yummy.
" Jenna, are you hungry?" Ellie asked.
" Yup, let's have some cupcakes."
I'll admit it, I wasn't hungry but after entering the bakery and smelling that delicious aura, I felt hungry. I ordered a red velvet cupcake and Ellie ordered a caramel cupcake.
We took a table with two chairs and sat down.
" Ellie, I want to ask you something." I said taking a bite of my cake.
" Shoot!" Ellie said.
" What's Crystal up to?"
" What do you mean?"
" I mean, isn't she avoiding us. She didn't come to Amelia's house and today she didn't show up here. Also, at school, she's nowhere around us."
" I don't know what you are talking about."
" Actually, that day when we all went to Amelia's house, I went out to get some cold drinks and there in the coffee shop I saw Crystal with some guy. They were holding hands and looking into each others eyes as if they are in love with each other."
Ellie took a deep a breath and said, "Listen...whatever you saw is right. Crystal is in a relationship and I don't want you to buzz around."
" But..." I was about to continue, but she interrupted me.
" You are not going to say this to anyone, not even Amelia."
" Ellie, you can't do this, you know I can't hide anything from Em."
" You have to or else I'll tell the truth. You know, true friends always share everything and never lie to each other, but sadly you didn't play your part well." She said raising an eyebrow. I couldn't believe she's saying this.
