The match last night blew everyone off and the whole school was ready to have some fun in the after party. As we already planned we'll not be going, Liz and Adair said they'll be attending the party so that they can distribute Layla's birthday party invitation cards. Thanks to Audrey for printing out the invitation cards early that day.
We invited around two hundred people, leaving the basketball players as they had other plans for celebrating their victory but Eric said he would come.

Usually, after great events, students skip school the next day. Teachers also take it cool because after a huge event organizing they do need a break. So, we friends also skipped school to make the end arrangements.
Jenna was at my home by 2 pm, so that she could help me with the decoration. Adair was at the bakery to get the cake Ellie and Jenna ordered. Liz was at the grocery store to get snacks for the party. I informed Ellie to get Layla to my house by 4 pm.
I and Jenna were decorating the backyard with purple paper flowers and fairy lights. Audrey and Alison were arranging the tables.
''Hey Audrey! Can you get the other decoration stuff from the store room? It's in a box.'' I asked Audrey.
''Yeah sure, hey Alice come give me a hand.'' Audrey said.
Now it was just me and Jenna all alone. I found this a perfect chance to talk to her and let the wave of questions come out from me.
''Jenna? Is everything alright?''
''Um..what? Yeah, everything is fine, what would possibly go wrong?''
''I know you are hiding something from me. I'm watching you since two days. You're not being you.'' I said.
''No baby everything's fine. I guess you are all stressed up with the party arrangements. You need rest.''
No, she's doing it again. Why is she doing this? Why isn't she saying the truth? Why is she keeping it such a secret? Aren't friends supposed to share secrets?
------------------
''Adair hand me the mascara.'' I said.
''Here.'' Adair said handing me the mascara.
''Open your eyes wide Layla.'' I said bending down to apply mascara.
Everyone was in the room doing something or the other. Jenna was setting up her hair. Liz was painting her nails. Ellie was busy with her phone. Adair and I were dressing up Layla. The only person who wasn't here was Crystal.
Why wasn't she here?
''Guys, any news about Crystal?'' I asked.
''Yeah, she'll be here when the party starts. You know her parents.'' Ellie said rolling her eyes.
Yeah right. I think I know where she is. With that stupid basketball player. Anyways I don't care what she's doing. No concerns for her. I don't even care if she doesn't show up. My only concern is to make this party the best.
Everyone was ready. Everyone looked dazzling and Layla was looking really gorgeous. That color was suiting her so much and I'm sure someone's really going to fall for her tonight.
''You guys are the best. I just love this dress so much and I feel I've never looked this beautiful my whole entire life. I'm so glad to have you as my best friends. This is going to be my best birthday ever and all credits go to you guys. Thank you so much.'' Layla said hugging us.
