screwed up

I didn't feel right anymore. Nothing felt right anymore. I couldn't figure out why. Ellington and I were now engaged but I decided to break it off..
"Ellington.. We need to talk"
"Yes,princess?"
"I..I um..nevermind."
"No tell me."
"We need to take a break. Lately we've been so distant and I just can't take it anymore."
Once I said that,he slid his back down the wall.
"Ell..please don't do this."
He hid his face,"I'll be fine.." He paused before whispering "eventually."
I crouched next to him.."I'm sorry. "
"I said I was fine didn't I?!" This was the first time Ellington ever raised his voice at me. I backed away a bit. "You can...keep the ring. It doesn't have a purpose anymore." He said,calmer this time. I kissed his damp cheek before walking out. Why did I do that?

-3 days later-

I hadn't seen Ellington for a few days.. He was coming over for band rehearsals. I opened the door,"Hi." He said. I let him in and upstairs we went.
"We're r5" Ross said in the mic,he said he wanted to set the mood.
Ellington muttered "more like r4 and the douchebag who wears alien socks."
I turned to face him "don't say that."
"What're you gonna do to stop me?"
"If you don't stop saying that about yourself,I'll kiss you."
"IM SUCH A LOSER,OH MY GOSH!!"
My brothers knew what was happening so left,I walked behind his drumset and crashed my lips into his. The moment felt magical. I never wanted to pull away. "Did it work" I asked. "Nope" he responded. I looked up at him,pulling him closer "I will kiss you until our lips are blue. No joke." He smiled a bit "I'm perfectly okay with that." And with that,we shared one more kiss that couldn't have lasted long enough.
