A few days passed and it was John's 20th birthday. "Are you coming, Jenna? I even invited Kammi and her friends, plus Lockwood and Evans, and I'm gonna be there, so you have to say yes!" Zachary yelled in excitement through the telephone. "Please? Otherwise, no more kisses for a whole month!"

"In your dirty dreams, Malfoy!" I groaned. "I guess I'll go, for John that is."

Zach groaned back. "Ugh, fine, at least you said yes. See you there- Oh, and make sure you wear something fancy, my dad is strict on that!"

The party wasn't until the evening, but I decided to get ready right now. I blasted on Avenged Sevenfold's albulm and burst through the doors of my closet. Over the past occasions, I decided to buy a couple of fancy dresses and blouses with my own money for a situation like this.

Smiling to myself, I picked out a short white dress with light gray flower patterns- roses - across the bottom of the skirt and a ribbon the same color around my waist. Yeah, I hated dresses and all things girly, but sometimes it was nice to dress up and feel beautiful. I stripped off my clothes as I stepped into the shower.

"Honestly, I wouldn't mind if you had shown up like that," Zach shrugged.

"Well because you're you!" I lay my head on Zach's shoulder, putting my hands over my face. "Eric would be embarrassed if I walked into the fancy restaurant he booked looking like this!"

"Oh, Jenna..." I remember sobbing on his shoulder. "Well, in my opinion, I don't care how my girlfriend would be dressed," Zach said suddenly. "I think all guys should think like that. I mean, they should fall in love with you for you, right?"

Why I suddenly thought of Zach, I have no idea. Maybe I should take his advice, I thought. Shrugging it iff, I squeezed some shampoo/conditioner gunk and scrubbed.

"I'm leaving, Dad!" I yelled as I wandered for him. "Kammi is picking me up!"

A grunt from the kitchen announced his presence. "Who? Is she related to Zachary Malfoy?"

I shivered, wondering why it mattered. "No, she is my friend. The only thing they have in common is their clinginess and wealth. That's about it."

"I didn't ask what they had in common, I asked if they were related in any way. As in are they both attending that party?"

I bit my inner cheek. I was horrible at lying, and really hated lying to my own dad. I sighed, "No."

My dad had the happiest smile in the world, which startled me. His green eyes twinkling and hair ruffled, he looked a lot younger when he smiled, and I appreciated it, just not right now. "Good, okay. Thanks for being honest, Princess." He hugged me and lead me to the door. "Have a good time, tell Kammi thank you for the ride!"

"I know," I mumbled. "Bye." He slammed the door shut behind.

Guilt, guilt, guilt, so guilty, I thought. My dad knew I was lying, he totally saw through me. He acted really sweet in order to make me feel bad for lying to him, and it was working.

At least he let me still go, I thought.

"Get your ass in!" Kammi yelled. I hope my dad didn't hear that.

"Coming, coming," I called back.

The party looked so alive. They were blasting bands from Five Seconds of Summer to Suicide Silence. "Yus," I grinned. "Love it already."

Kammi shrugged, eyeing the crowd for her girlfriends. "Uh huh. By the way, I heard John personally wanted you to come. That's what Zach told me yesterday anyway."
