When we were just millimetres away the spell was broken when something wet landed on my face. I wasn't sure if I was thankful or upset. I had never had this feeling and so I couldn't put a name to it. I decided it was best to try not act on the feeling because I didn't want to lose my friend all over again.
After I removed the lily pad from my face I swiftly got out of the pond and turned to see if Casper had followed my actions. Casper was nearly out of the pond when suddenly he fell back in to the pond with a loud splash that had the others turn their attention towards us once more. When everyone notices Casper resurfacing from the water they turned to face me.
'What I didn't do anything this time, I promise! It was him and his clumsiness that brought forward his down fall.' I said while holding in laughter that was fighting to get out.
When Casper got out we decided that we should head back so that I could change and the boys could head to the palace before people began to notice they were not fulfilling their Royal duties. I had my own work that I could not put on hold. I had to go back to reality.
Eve had also decided that it would be best for her to also go to her home so her parents wouldn't be worried. Mia was tired and so after dinner decided that she had enough for the day and just wanted to rest. Although she still didn't want to sleep in her own room so she was to sleep in mine. I was hoping that she would tell me soon why she is so terrified of being on her own at night but I wasn't going to pressurise her into telling me. I knew she would tell me when she felt she could, I knew she still didn't trust me completely but that was normal for an orphan.
After Mia had fallen asleep I decided to do some work as I wasn't very tired. I must have been working for a couple of hours because when I heard the door knock I looked out the window to see nothing but blackness. The sun's rays had completely disappeared and everything was silent. I slowly made my way to the door slightly wary about who would be out at this hour. When I opened the door all I could make out was someone standing in a cloak.
'Can I come in' I looked slightly stunned as I recognised Casper's voice. All my thoughts were on his reason for being here. He must know how dangerous it is to be out in this ungodly hour. I beckoned for him to come in. I watched as he took of his dark cloak and flicked his hair out of his eyes. The moon shone behind him through the still open door making him look like every girls fairy tale prince.
I led the way into the lounge and heard Caspian lightly click the front door shut. I expected Caspian to explain why he was here but I was caught by surprise when I felt his hands on my shoulders turning me round to face him. I had barely caught a glimpse of his face when I was surprised by the presence of his lips on mine. It was like I had been hit by lightning, my heart sped up and everything just felt so right. His lips just slowly moving in sync with mine there was no pressure and I knew I should pull back but at the same time I couldn't. I didn't even notice when my arms moved on their accord to rest around his neck. My body felt almost compelled to be close to him. I felt complete but all too soon we broke apart both of us slightly flushed.
I let my hand trail down until they rested on his chest. I had just lost my first kiss to my best friend and all I could think about was that I had to have his lips on mine again. My body craved his touch and so I looked up into his emerald green eyes before slowly filling my need by placing my lips were they belonged.
When we broke apart this time we were both panting slightly which led me to rest my head on Casper's chest causing him to shier with pleasure and me to smirk.
'I'd say I'm sorry Isadora but if I'm being honest I wouldn't mean it.'
