After my failed attempts to continue to practice we had made our way back to my house. Mia of course being held on Casper's shoulders, she was getting so lazy; it was so cute to watch though and I couldn't help but glance over at them every few minutes only to have Casper meet my eyes and his mouth would tilt into that awkward type of smile. He was such a distraction, I very nearly missed the target when he had wrapped his arms around me. I was a little surprised that he had come on his own, my house always seemed to be full as of late.

When we entered the house I watched as Casper hit the fire and made himself at home in the lounge as if it was the most typical thing. 'So Casper what can I do for you today, have you come to eat me out of house and home again.'

'Well, I guess I came to ask you something,' he pause almost as if he had already sensed that was about to say something.

'So it wasn't because you missed me, I'm hurt, here I thought you had come to see me only to find out your already getting bored of me. You're definitely a one of a kind best friend.' I joked before tilting my head to meet his eyes. I watched as he rose out of the chair and made his way towards me before wrapping his arms around me.

'I could never grow bored of you, not ever, I just found you and I hope to see your face every day. I hope to have to be your best friend forever. He leant down and kissed me softly which left me shocked and briefly at a loss for words. My face had to be bright red and I was ever so thankful that Mia had decided she wanted to go upstairs with some of her toys. I don't think I would have known what to say to her if she had of seen us. When we had returned to the house she claimed that she wanted to play and thus she decided to go upstairs to play with some of her toys. 'Can I ask you that question now or are you going to interrupt and make more presumptions,' he whispered softly.

'Ask your question then before I have to get it out of you,' I tried to push him away so there would be some distance between us, that would enable me to think more clearly. What could he possibly ask now.

'I know you would rather not go to the ball but its masquerade as you know and so that means you have reason not to go because nobody will know who you are,' I nodded my head slightly confused as to what direction this was going. He was right there, the only reason I was going to go to this ball was because I was sure that my identity would be hidden from the king. 'Everyone seems to be going with someone and obviously I'm allowed to take someone as well; I made sure my father wouldn't make me go with anyone. You see I don't want to go with anyone who isn't you though so I guess what I wanted to ask or well know that is if you would possibly consider going to the dance with me? I can promise you that no one will know who you are.' To say that I was simply shocked would be an understatement. Why was it that he had to ask me, why me of all people? I'm positive there were plenty of people who would be willing to go with him. I couldn't lie though, I didn't want anybody else going with him.

'You haven't said no straight away so should I take that as a good sign,' Caspian seemed nervous which is something that I knew was a rare thing. I no it had been years since I seen him last but I couldn't help but know instantly that the character he had as a child had only been built on. He had matured yes but had he changed; the answer was no. He had such little patience and was always on edge when waiting for answers.

'He wont find out its me right?'He nodded his head to confirm this, 'then I guess … well I'd love too.' I watched as his face lit up and I couldn't help but smile.

He looked at me still smiling, 'Really? You mean it?' I smiled nervously in response before he picked me up and spun round with me in his arms. I let my laughter ring out as he spun me around. As he stopped he looked into my eyes before his eyes drifted to my lips and on impulse we connected. It was our best kiss yet by far as his lips moved slowly against mine before slipping his tongue against mine and dominating me. Our other kisses had been amazing but they weren't like this, this one was filled with something other than happiness and security; it was something that either of us seemed yet to name.

'I promise you that you wont forget this night and you definitely will never regret coming. I won't let you be disappointed. Were going to have so much fun at the ball and you will be the most stunning person in the room, a mask could never truly hide you and all your beauty. I was so share I would have had a much harder time to convince you. I've been practising for days,' he rambled on.

Its so short, I know but for some reason my laptop is acting up and I decided I had to have something up because I promised so here you go. It was all done on my phone and so there is plenty of mistakes I'm aware and I apoligise. I will try my best to type more up tomorrow when I am in the library but I really hope you like this little linking chapter were somethings are finally coming together.
