Let's Call It Love

Chapter 6

Coffee and Cookies

"Get yourself out of bed, Scar," I encouraged myself to get up.

One of my eyes was open and the other one was closed. I crawled out of bed and stood up. Yawning tiredly, my vision kind of blurred as I was staring at my digital alarm clock. I stretched my arms and my legs and plopped down in the bed again.

"Gotta get yourself up Scar," I said to myself.

I felt very foolish speaking to myself like this, it makes me feel like a little kid. I rose up from my comfortable bed and gawkily went to my wardrobe. I picked plain denim jeans with a black V-neck shirt. I gaited to my bathroom. I set my things in the counter adjacent to the sink.

I took off my clothes and I climbed in the shower, twisting the knobs. Hot water splashed in my body giving steam. I rubbed my coconut shampoo into my hair and rinsed it after I was done. I scrubbed my body with my puffy lufa and some soap. After I finished, I rinsed my body. I twisted the knobs again making the water go out. I got out of the shower and grabbed my towel, wrapping it around my body.

I dressed up in my uniform, brushed my teeth, washed my face clear, and put on my shoes; I'm now ready for school. I grabbed my dirty clothes and threw them on the dirty clothes hamper.

I whipped my wet hair to my right and I combed my hair rapidly, trying to get all the knots out. I set my comb on my nightstand and shook my hair in place. I didn't blow dry my hair like most people do, I just liked my hair to be dried naturally. It's just my own way.

I grabbed my phone, iPod Touch, placing the earphones at both of my ears the song "Say You Like Me" by We The Kings. I put the volume up and danced my way to the kitchen. I walked happily at one of the cabinets holding the bowls and opened it. I got one and poured some cereal in it and milk. I got a spoon from a small cabinet and sat down at one of the kitchen chairs.

"I wish my heart was always on her mind, cause she's on mine like all day, all the time.." I sang.

I put cheerios in my spoon with milk, handling it with care. I put it to my mouth, munching quietly. I had a few more spoonfuls and put my bowl and spoon at the sink.

I got my bag at the sofa and put it on my back. I decided to walk today, not planning to ride my bike. I'm on my way to school.

I walked cheerfully looking at other people who was driving by. Then I heard a honk that I don't think was meant for me but looked still.

I twisted and saw Chase waving at me. I ignored him and just continued walking like he was never there. What a great way to ruin my morning to see that guy's annoying face.

I knew he was still tracking me because I see a car slowly driving by.

"What?!" I asked angrily as I faced him. It gave him a shock.

"Chill," He said raising his arms in defeat.
