Chapter 20

Alexis's POV:

I wake up on the floor. Many miscellaneous items are scattered everywhere.

Luckily i'm not drunk because today is my first date with Marcus.

I clean up most of the mess.

Catherine is up, sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the wall.

"Are you ok?" I ask.

"Yea. Just thinking." she whispers.

The time says 3-o-clock.

"Shoot!" I scream.

I have less than 2 hours to get ready for my date.

You may think thats enough time but I am a procrastinator so I get off track pretty easily.

I take a 30 minute shower, really trying to get the stench off of me.

When I get out I dry my hair and then curl it.

Once thats done I apply some makeup-not much though.

Now comes the time to find something to wear.

"Nope. Eww nope. Ugh no."

I decide to go with a fancy white tank top and and a red skirt. To top it off I wear some red heels and put on matching jewelry. (Outfit at the top)

By the time i'm done it's 4:50. 10 minutes until Marcus should be here.

I get excited when I hear a knock on the door.

But when I open it its only Kian.

"Dang girl! You look fine! Wheres Cat?" he asks.

"She's in the living room. What happened last night?"

"Better not explain right now. I will when you get back."

"Okay. Keep an eye on Catherine please."

"I will."

When the door knocks a second time I assume its Marcus but no. Its Jc.

"Is Catherine here?" He immediately asks.

"Yes."

Jc stops when he sees Kian. Tension in the air could be cut by a knife.

"Ok well i'm just going to leave. Don't destroy my house please."

When I open the door I walk right into the person i've been waiting to see all night.

"Hello. Wow Lex you look gorgeous." he says with his mouth hanging open.

"Well you look very handsome." He is wearing a red dress shirt, (what a coincidence!) khaki colored dress pants, and black shoes.

"Let's go!" he cheers while taking my hand.

He opens the car door for me and then closes it when I am settled in.
