Secrets
Do you know that in my heart I hold
Secrets that they would die to know?
I could bring down your little show,
With one word your "world" would end.
Because I know about all the lies you told,
How you tricked them all,
To believe in your silly little act.
Or I could try to turn you back around,
To show them all who you really are.
I could show you how much I really do care,
Even though they may stare,
I still love the true you.
The one who smiled at me when I was down,
The one who wiped away all of my pain,
The one that turned my life around,
And I was amazed by what we had found.
But without even a second look,
You bit into their tempting hook.
What you do is not the best,
Does it make you feel good that you passed their test?
Please listen to my plea,
Let it all go and let yourself free.
Your secrets have always been safe with me,
So when they all push you away because of your lies,
I'll still hold your secrets, and rebuild our ties.
