Lydia's POV
It was Saturday at last! To be honest college wasn't that bad, but today was the day I was going to meet up with my best friend Amy. We have been friends since we were 11 years old. It has past 6 year already, almost 7.
She lives 2 hours away, close to where I use to live. Since today is Saturday I'm staying over. I got my bags and went downstairs to wait for her.
"Lydia are you leaving now?" I heard mom asked from the kitchen.
"No, Amy is not here yet." I went to the kitchen and grab a banana from the fruit basket.
"Good, I want you to go pick up the clothes I have laying outside." She said looking around the fridge.
"Ugh, ok" I hate laundry day.
I walked to the end of the house and open the back door. We have a big backyard, this is the first time seeing it. I picked the basket of clothes that was on the floor and headed to where the clothes were. When I finished picking every piece of clothing, I threw it inside the basket and picked the basket up. When I looking up I saw a small guest house a little far behind. We had a guest house and they didn't tell me! I was very excited.
I put the basket of clothes on the ground and headed to where the guest house was. I opened the door and to my surprise it wasn't locked. I entered the house and it was a big room with a bed, a nightstand and a small kitchen. It only had a small table, small fridge and the sink next to it. There was a door on the corner, I'm assuming that was a small bathroom. I could totally use this room as an art studio. Mom always put my painting and stuff on the basement or the attic because of the lack of space. They wouldn't miss this room, there's two guest rooms in the house.
I was looking around when I heard the honk of a car. Amy must be here, I went out of the guest house and started running to the house not forgetting the basket full of clothes.
I left the basket in the kitchen table and got my bag. "Mom, Dad, I'm leaving!" I yelled and went out the door.
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-"I have miss you so much!!" Amy yelled for the fourth time. We were half way to her house.
"So, did you like the university? Are people nice there?" She started asking all these questions.
"Is all good, I guess." I looked out the window, I love this place.
"Have you been motorcycle racing?" She asked keeping her eyes on the road.
That is one of my secrets. I've been racing since I turned 16, my ex-boyfriend used to race too, he was the one who got me hooked up. I use to tell my parents I was going to Amy's house when in reality I was street racing. I had won a lot of races, earning good money, which I'm using for college. I know my parents will lock me in my room for the rest of my life if they found out, but they didn't know the adrenaline I felt when I race.
"No, I don't even know if they have motorcycle races where I live." I told her.
"Well is for the best. Motorcycle races are dangerous and let me remind you, illegal." She had a worried expression on her face. I wasn't going to argue with her, we would always have an argument because of me racing.
"Hey, let's go get lunch at our favorite place!" She got exited now.
"Ok" I said with the same excitement.
-~-~-~-There was this small store we use to go when we were in middle school, they sale this sort of sandwich mix with pizza. It was bread full of cheese, sauce and pepperoni. We bought the sandwich and sat on the tables outside.
"So have you met any guy yet?" I knew she was going to ask me that question sooner or later.
"Actually, yes" I said.
"I knew it! Now tell me all about It." she said shaking me.
"Well he is tall, has brown hair, brown eyes, has nice skin, wears glasses and his name is Adam." I describe Adam.
"Aww Lydia. Always falling for the geeks."
"He doesn't look like a geek to be honest. Just because someone wears glasses doesn't mean that they are nerds or geeks." I defended Adam.
"Look who has a crush." She sing sang.
"Oh shut up!" I started to laugh. "Anyway I only saw him one time. Plus I couldn't even tell him my name."
"Oh wow, love at first sight." she said and bit her sandwich. She made a weird face and look inside her sandwich.
"What's wrong?" I asked worried.
"Is empty." She stated showing me her empty sandwich. I started laughing at her and she just glared at me and then started laughing too.
