Never Grow Up

"Bonding"

Emma's Pov

I awoke slipping on an old outfit. I was going to run away but I figured I'd stay awhile to check the place out and see if Regina really cares about me.

"Emma I have to go to the office to file some papers but I was thinking after we could go to the park and get Granny's for lunch." Regina said flipping through the morning paper

"Um sure." I say picking up an orange in the bowl by the table

Regina had finally finished filing papers! I was so hungry and already had one foot out the door. She looked up at me smiling and grabbed her bag we got to the door she did the strangest thing.

She grabbed my hand and held it. She actually held it and I let her. She smiled at me and then we walked down the street. "So you like burgers?" She asked as I stared at our intertwined hands we looked like an actual family.

"Love em!" I said happily
"We could get them to go and eat them at the-" she was interrupted by a perky voice belonging to Mary
"Hello Emma long time no talk." She said waking up to us

  "Oh yeah." I said and for some reason I let go of Regina's hand
"So what are you up to?" She asked as Regina shot her daggers
"I'm going to get lunch with my daughter!" Regina snapped and pulled me close by the shoulders

"Move on princess!" She snapped and Mary nodded
I gave her a weird look and she tried to grab my hand but I pulled away.
"Why are you mean to her?" I asked
"She's evil Emma you don't know her like I do." She informed

"Well she seems sweet," I paused," maybe you could tell me about what she did to you over lunch?" I asked
"What on earth would make you think she did something to me?" She asked shocked

"Just a guess." I winked smiling a bit and she cracked a small smile as we skipped inside
