***JEROME'S POV***
Everyone is looking at me weirdly, like I'm some kind of alien. I guess in a way I am, nobody would have expected this to happen. I love my human body, though I'm still adjusting to it. There will definitely be things to get used to, like carrying heavy stuff -- as Baccas are naturally strong, -- and walking with smaller feet, and other things like that, but I love the way I look. Being human feels, so, natural. So right. Plus, that Bacca hat Seto made me is probably the coolest thing in existence. It looks just like me. That's kind of creepy I guess, but I don't mind.
Mitch was the first to recognize me.
"J-Jerome?" He asked tentatively.
"Hey."
"What the-"
But then I tackled him in a hug and cut him off. I start laughing and my laugh is different. My voice is the same but my laugh is less raspy and full of more feeling. Just another thing I love about being human.
Eventually, Mitch makes me get off of him and we all gather around Seto. I can tell he is going to accept this change in me the fastest. Everyone else is looking at me quizzically, wondering why I did what I did. Ty is looking at me and smiling, and I can tell he knew about my plan. The plan I don't need anymore. The plan where I ended it all.
I shake the thought of the plan from my new human head as Seto starts to speak.
"I've got a lot of stuff to tell you guys."
"Yes, yes you do." Says Jason.
"Okay, okay. Where to begin, where to begin.."
"How about begin with how the world will end?" Asks Ashley, still in dragon form.
"Okay." Seto says. "That's as good a place as any, I suppose."
"Back a long long time ago, there was a sorcerer named Daniel. He was the most powerful sorcerer of the Overworld at the time, and he was also my best friend."
"Back then, the world was in chaos. Somebody created a Nether Portal and all sorts of Hellish mobs got through. They began to wreak havoc on the Overworld, and there was nothing we could do. No spell that either of us could cast was strong enough to stop them. The world was going to end."
"Then, Daniel got an idea. A crazy, stupid, idea. So crazy -- in fact -- that it just might work. Sky, do you remember when all the mobs disappeared?"
"Yeah," Sky says, a bit surprised by Seto's question. "The Squids attacked and destroyed half the town, but afterwards no mobs were spawning, so we had time to rebuild."
"Exactly." Says Seto. "That was what Daniel did. He created these things called the Endset Commands. They are the most powerful spells in existence. They have the power to control the weather, the sunlight, and most importantly, the mobs. The Endset Commands have the power to stop all mobs from spawning. That is what Daniel created."
"But with power like that, shouldn't Daniel have died?" Asks a confused Jason. "He couldn't have had magical energy left after creating those."
"He did." Seto answered. "He used up twice his magical energy creating the commands."
"How would that work?" Jason seems genuinely intrigued. Stuff like this has always interested him.
"The Archangels reincarnated Daniel on the spot so he could continue casting the spell. It wasn't so much a resurrection as a power surge. They gave Daniel more energy than he could handle, but because he was using it up so quickly, he still survived. After creating the Commands, though, he did die."
"Then what?"
"Well, after his reincarnation, Daniel successfully created the Endset Commands. But there was no way to use them."
"What?" Asks Mitch.
"A sorcerer cannot use the commands without using up all their magical energy. The only people with the ability to use the commands are the Archangels. But they didn't know how to use them, so they reincarnated Daniel again."
"Is that possible?" I ask.
"Of course it's possible. The Archangels reincarnated Daniel again and then gave him the title of Archangel Daniel. After he received this title he had the power to use the commands. He stopped the mobs from spawning long enough for us to destroy the Nether Portal and anything related to it."
"Why not just keep the mobs off?" Asks Sky.
"Well we can't have bows without spiders. No bone meal without skeletons. We can't make sticky pistons without slimes, and those pistons are essential for security. No TNT without creepers. And zombies-- well, I don't know what those things give us."
"I see." Says Sky.
"Wait, how does that relate to the End of the World?" Asks Ssundee.
"Well, someone has found out how to make another Nether Portal. Meaning we need to talk to the Archangels."
"How do we do that?" Asks Ashley.
"We need to talk to Max."
"Who?"
"Max. He's the only one who can communicate with Archangels. He lives in the Eastern Mountains."
"How are we going to get there?" I ask.
"Well, NightShroud can get us to the base of the Mountains, but first we need the others."
"Who?" Asks Sky.
"Quentin, Nooch, Woof, Solace. Those guys."
"Oh."
"Guys, let's go get the team."
