***SKY'S POV***

I watch helplessly as Ty throws himself through the Portal. Just like that, in the blink of an eye, and he's gone. I can't believe it. He's gone now. Gone. I do as he asks, breaking half of the Portal down before running away. I gather my team and we rush off into the forest. The Wither Worshipers stop chasing us as we reached the outskirts of the forest. I guess they lost interest when they realized Ty isn't with us. I do a quick once-over of the team, and all seems well until my eyes lock on Ashley.

She's not crying or anything, but there's a melancholy feeling to her. Her eyes dart around wildly, looking for signs of Ty.

What should I tell her? I wonder. Should I tell her the truth? Or tell her the Wither Worshipers got him? I make the decision to lie. A little white lie never hurt, right?

"Is he gone?" She asks me.

I nod. "They got him. I'm so sor--"

"No, it's okay. I was kind of expecting it to happen. Somehow."

She turns away from me and looks to Jason. "I'm gonna call NightShroud, okay?" Jason nods in response and I prepare myself for the teleportation.

Soon my body is warped into a momentary pained blob of nonexistence as I'm teleported to NightShroud's chamber.

Once again I appear in NightShroud's cave. My eyes take a moment to adjust to the dim lighting and once they do, I nearly cry. I can't help but feel like a trespasser in this place now that Ty is gone. He brought me here in the first place. The first time I met NightShroud wasn't even that long ago, and now the Ender Dragon's prized prodigy is gone. In the Nether. Alone.

"Where is Deadlox?" NightShroud says. It's the first time I've ever heard him speak. His voice is rough and inhuman, but at the same time it easily conveys the confusion the Dragon is feeling.

"He's gone," I reply. "He's not coming back."

The Dragon exhales loudly, as if expressing sadness. "I see." He says. "What of the Portal?"

"It's gone, too." I say. "We broke it."

"Did you destroy anything related to it?"

I shook my head. "We were nearly killed. We lost Ty, for Notch's sake. We only broke the Portal."

"I see. However, that will not suffice. We will need to wipe the Wither Worshipers off the face of the planet, for End-- For Ty's sake."

Ashley nods. "Yes, we will. Will you help us, NightShroud?"

"Of course." He replies. "We must go to your place of business. As of today, we are at war."

***TY'S POV***

The Portal in the Overworld is in a small house. It appears to be morning, as there is light streaming through the small windows. Through those windows, I can see a dense forest spreading out for miles one either side of us. Elizabeth and Preston look around, confused. They must not be used to the Overworld. I, however, breathe a sigh of relief as my lungs fill with fresh air.

The army slowly files in behind us, filling up the house and the land surrounding it. Elizabeth, Preston and I make our way out of the house, watching the army file into ranks behind us. A soot-skeleton comes close to us, chattering something to Elizabeth. She says something I don't understand and gestures for the skeleton to speak. It gets the attention of the ranks and chatters a few commands before returning to its place.

"The Wither Skeletons are powerful leaders." Elizabeth says. "They have a lot of strength and are highly respected. This is why I chose them to be the first mob in command of the army."

"I see," I respond.

"It's just like I remember it," Preston says, smiling. "It's still beautiful, that's for sure"

"I'm glad you like it," I say. "We might be here awhile."

Elizabeth looks around, seemingly just taking in her surroundings. She seems anxious. "Where are we?" She asks, taking Preston's hand nervously.

"I'm not sure," I reply. "Let's see." I then fly up and see the mountain that is NightShroud's home is only a few miles away. There's no doubt that's where my team will be if they aren't still at Green Fire Point. Even if they are still there, NightShroud can teleport us there so we can aid in the fight. Happy with this information, I land back down and tell Elizabeth and Preston my plan.

"Sounds good," Preston says. "Let's march the troops, yeah? You lead the way."

"Command them," Elizabeth adds. "I will translate for you."

"Okay," I say nervously. I turn and face the army of Nether mobs. Clearing my throat, I speak.

"Today, we are going to fight the Wither Worshipers. They are vicious, heartless people. They want nothing more than the destruction of this world and those who live in it, and they want to destroy the Nether, too. With your help, we can defeat them. With your help, we can win back our world. We can make peace with each other. We can trade, we can be friends, we can improve each others' lives. There are many of them, and they are strong, but we are many and we are powerful as well. I believe in us, I believe that -- with your help -- we can succeed. We can make this Earth a better place for everyone. I'm asking you to fight for what's right. I'm asking you to fight not only for us, but for yourselves. Fight to improve your own lives. You deserve a good life. We will succeed, with your help. Thank you." I pause every sentence or so, giving Elizabeth time to translate. When I'm finished, the army cheers. I smile.

"Nice job," Preston says, giving me a pat on the back. "Now, let's go."

I lead the army to the mountain and Elizabeth instructs them to wait outside. Preston, Elizabeth, and I continue onwards, finding the small cave entrance. After walking through a few winding tunnels, we arrive in NightShroud's main chamber. He's communicating with my friends, actually speaking to them. I've never heard his voice before, so it's confusing to me.

"As of now, we are at war." NightShroud says, addressing my team. I smile, running into the room. The first person I see is my best friend, standing in the chamber on the verge of tears. Preston and Elizabeth stand behind me, watching awkwardly as I make my big entrance.

I tackle Sky in a hug.
