***SETO'S POV***

I have no idea what just came over me.

What did I just do?

Why did I kiss Ashley?

That was it. Just leaned in and kissed her. And to my own surprise she kissed back. And now here we are. I'm honestly so mad at myself for giving in to what I want. Why do I want this? Why do I want her? Is it love, or is it lust? I've never really been in love before. I'm destined to never fall in love, I'll outlive any mortal and I've never met a female sorcerer who wasn't stuck up and awful. It's not love, it's just satisfying a craving. I quickly pull away from her, regretting my move.

"I should not have done that," I say.

"I agree. Neither of us should have done that."

"Let's forget it happened? Never tell anyone?"

"Fair."

"So," I trail off. Awkwardness settles between the two of us, and I grasp at imaginary straws to find a way to get our conversation back on track. Ashley, however, senses that there's no going back from that, and she quickly stands.

"Thank you for helping me figure this out. Will you report to Sky, or should I do it?"

"It would probably be best if we both did. I'll come with you."

"Okay."

I stand and walk with Ashley to Sky's tent. He's sharing it with Jason and Ty, so I ever so quietly tap him until he wakes.

"Yeah?" He says groggily. "Is something wrong?"

"We have something to tell you." Ashley says matter-of-factly.

"Okay, hit me." I help Sky up and we leave the tent, sitting outside and beginning our report. Ashley promptly tells Sky about her dream, and I tell him about what it means and what we have to do. Sky agrees to our plan without question, bids us goodnight, and then returns to his tent.

At that point, as Ashley is walking back to her tent, I remember a vital piece of information that Ashley needs to know.

"Ashley?" I say quietly, stopping her in her tracks.

"Yeah?" She asks.

"Ashley, I kind of forgot to tell you something important. You're immortal."

Her face fills with shock and she rushes up to me, placing her hand on my shoulders and shaking me.

"What?!"

"You're immortal, like me."

"What's that supposed to mean? Are you saying I'm a sorcerer like you, then? Why can't I do magic?"

"No, you're not a sorcerer. You're an angel."

"Excuse me? If this is a joke I'll kill you, and if it's a pickup line I'll kill you twice."

"No, I'm serious. Ashley, you are a fallen angel."

"Could you please explain that a bit?"

"Long ago, while the nether mobs were still in power, Notch --the first Archangel -- was losing control of the world. His evil side escaped when he made the decision to become an immortal Archangel. This evil side was called Herobrine. Herobrine wreaked havoc on the land, using the body of a man named Steve to do evil quite a bit in the way Sky was corrupted. Herobrine, however, was much more powerful. He went to a group of Wither worshipers and encouraged them to create a nether portal. When they did, the Nether mobs got through and Herobrine commanded an Army of Chaos. Herobrine called upon a specific type of mob called the Blaze and sent it to go up into the heavens to take the angels away. The blazes would steal the angels away and keep them trapped down in the Nether for ransom. And then, without the healing powers of the Aetherial Dimension to keep them immortal, they wasted away and died. However, their spirits went back up to the Aether. And when anything enters the Aether after death, in time it will be resurrected. These angels, however, had to be brought back as humans. They are referred to as Fallen Angles, as they are unable to go back to their angel state. Instead they walk among us humans as immortals."
