***SIERRA'A POV***
The creepers are everywhere, their lime green forms are staining the grass with their brighter, more vibrant color. Ty and I exchange glances, looking down in terror at the mangled tents and craters from explosions riddling the ground. I look down into one of those craters and I see someone who resembles Ty, though this Dragon person is female. She has brown hair with a purple streak in it, a tail, and wings like Ty's, only they are full of small holes from explosions and debris.
"Is that--" I asked Ty, gesturing towards the girl.
"Ashley!" Ty says in shock and he tucks in his wings and dives towards the ground at an alarming speed. Worried for the sake of my friend, I lower myself to the ground after him.
By the time I reach the forest floor Ty is already down there next to Ashley. He's got her in his arms, looking at the purple blood staining the ground. It looks a lot like what happens just a few hours ago, this morning.
"Sierra!" Ty calls to me. "Can you do something?"
I give Ty a quick nod and kneel down next to Ashley. I hold my hands over her wounds and whisper a few words of healing, watching as the scars on her arms and the holes in her wings mend themselves. Her eyes open and then--
"Ashley! Oh my Notch, you're alive!"
Ashley sputters a cough in response. Then she looks up at me, her eyes squinting, and whispers "Seto? Is that you?"
I look over at Ty and watch a momentary look of hurt cross his face, but it fades away, the empty expression quickly filled with gratitude for Ashley's life.
"No," I say to Ashley. "I'm Sierra. I'm a sorceress, like Seto."
Ashley then looks over at Ty. "Ty?" She manages. "Is that you?"
"Yes, Ashley. I'm here. I'm so sorry I left, I-"
But Ty is cut off by Ashley pulling him down and kissing him. I watch for a moment, both happy and disgusted at the same time, but thankfully, the two quickly separate. "Don't ever leave me again, okay?" Ashley says.
"Okay," Ty says, looking happier than ever.
"Guys, we've got to go." I say. "Y'know, there are creepers everywhere. Ashley, do you know where everyone else went?"
Ashley nods. "They went east off towards-- Um, I can't quite remember, but I know they went east. I stayed here to fight the creepers."
"Okay then, east it is!" I say, and the three of us take off into the sky.
We fly for awhile, not really knowing what we're looking for. Ashley and Ty seem happy, and that makes me smile. It only took a day for Ty to get back to being himself again, and that reassures me. If he's with Ashley, he'll be fine.
"There," Ashley says suddenly, indicating a small collection of burnt-out fires and tents. "This is them."
I give her a nod and the three of us fly down to Earth, saying goodbye to the cold and beautiful night air.
"Now what?" Ty asks, sounding distressed. "None of us have tents and it's really late. I don't want to wake them up."
Ashley gives him an are-you-kidding-me kind of look and says "Really, Ty? Nobody is sleeping cause they're all worried sick about you! Now come on!" Ashley leads the three of us into the camp, walking off towards the row of consistently bland tents. She finds one with a bunch of gold blocks outside of it and says "Oh, this one's Sky's," like it's the most normal thing ever to say and everybody understands it. Me? I'm just confused. I should probably get filled in on all of this, sooner rather than later.
Ashley unzips the tent and she walks in, followed by Ty and then me. "Sky?" She says quietly, her voice trembling as though scared.
"Hmph," mutters a voice.
"Sky?" Ty manages. "It's me, it's Ty! Wake up!" His voice cracks on 'up' I can tell he feels terrible about leaving.
I feel bad for him.
"Mmmph...Ty?" Says Sky, his hunched-over figure shifting in the dim light of the tent. The figure sits up fully. "Ty!"
"Sky!" Ty exclaims. "I'm so sorry I left, I didn't know! I wasn't thinking, I just--"
"Hey Ty?" Sky says.
"What?"
"Shut up."
"Where's Jason?"
"He's with Quentin, he's fine."
"Okay, good. I was worried."
We end up catching up and it's great. I'm part of this expedition now, I'm going to go save the world. For tonight, I share a tent with Ashley. We've been talking about random things. I've been telling her about my life and my two thousand years of existence, and she's been telling me about her brief eighteen and everything that's gone on through it. She told me about her family life back at her home, how she was kidnapped by a dragon and transformed into a mutant, how she fell in love with Ty, and how she inadvertently broke his heart. Mostly, though, she told me about Seto because she assumed that another sorcerer would interest me. He does, of course. This other sorcerer who was around in Daniel's time interests me greatly, maybe because I've never heard of him. I haven't even met him, and yet I think I like him. Tomorrow I'll get to meet this other sorcerer. I'll get to learn about everything that 'went down,' as Ashley says. I'll get to talk to him about his life everything he's done from his point of view, and I'll get to tell him about my life everything that's happened to me from my point of view. And if I'm lucky, well--
You know where this is going.
