JOE'S POINT OF VIEW
----
It was Christmas Eve. I was back home, packing things up for the tour tomorrow. I was heartbroken knowing that Kendra couldn't be there."It's not that Im not happy for her, Donnie, I am, but I've just kind of gotten used to the fact that we're always hanging out. I guess I shouldn't have really expected that we'd do everything together." I explained, packing a t-shirt into my suitcase.
"Bro, don't get yourself down over this. You'll obviously see her again, but it'll be after tour. Trust me, Joe, it'll go by fast." Donnie smiled. I nodded and proceeded to pack my other clothes. I put the last few things into my bag and zipped it up.
"Alright, I guess I'm ready to go. I'll be waiting in the limo." Joe said, lugging his bags to the long, black vehicle waiting just outside the house.

Kendra's point of view

"Kendra... when you said you were applying for an internship, I never thought you would seriously do it!" Jackie muttered, standing next to me while I sat on the the edge of my bed with a blank stare plastered to my face. I couldn't believe this was happening. Joe was going on tour, and I couldn't be there. of course I was happy that I'd gotten the internship, but I was absolutely heartbroken knowing that I couldn't go on tour with my boyfriend.
"Jackie, I know your upset. I am too, but there's nothing I can do about this. I've already packed everything and confirmed my arrival to my boss." I mumbled, putting my face in my hands. Jackie didn't say a single word after that. She simply put a hand on my back and pursed her lips to hold back tears. But, just when that happened, things took a turn. The phone began to ring. I sighed deeply, and slowly got up from my bed to make my way down stairs to pick up the phone.
"Hello? Is this Kendra O' Reilly?"
"Speaking." I replied to the lady on the other end.
"Hi, I'm Laura Cooper with the DPI. You're scheduled to start next week, correct?" The lady asked.
"Yeah... is there something wrong?" I asked.
"Unfortunately, yes. We've rearranged your schedule to tomorrow. Is it possible you can make it by then?" Laura asked.
"Oh... Um... On Christmas?" I asked, completely shocked and slightly angered. I was excited to have gotten the internship but what made me furious was the fact that I was being forced to go in on Christmas!
"Yeah, is there a problem?" The lady asked.
"Um... No... I can make it." I lied feeling like a complete idiot.
"Great! We'll see you tomorrow at 8:00 am!" The lady said right before hanging up. I put the phone back into it's cradle and sat down on a stool at the counter, putting my face in my hands.
"Kendra? Hey, Kendra, are you alright?" Jackie asked rushing down to the kitchen. She sat down next to me and put an arm around my shoulder.
"Yeah... I'm fine." I replied, lifting my head from my hands.
"Seriously, Kendra. What's going on?" Jackie asked using her "look" on me. Whenever There was something wrong that Jackie didn't know about, she'd always have this certain look she'd use to get me to talk. Unfortunately, it worked every time.
