Today's going to be a good day, I know it. That guy Rob keeps following me around and today is the today I invite him to prom. Never ever, ever would I be seen at such a trivial, pointless event unless it benefited me and this time, it'll help me get closer to Rob to ensure the plan works out. Who knows why I need an ape like him for the ritual to work but some have got the right DNA and others don't. Just my luck a hideous gel-haired idiot is the one I need. Nevertheless, I know this will help me in the long haul and getting to know Rob and making him like me will make the ritual complete and if a prom date is the way to do it, so be it. He will agree to the date and turn up so today will be a good day. Today is the first step to my happiness. He will fall for me and everything will go to plan –otherwise the spell was for nothing!- and she will follow. She'll be born and she'll end it all.
What? No. It can't be. Surely not.
No matter how I try to deny it, I know she's talking about me in her twisted journal. I don't understand it, I don't understand it at all because it's all so confusing. I feel I need to speak to her, have her explain it in her own words. I need to understand why she's talking about Dad that way, the man she was supposed to love. And what spell? What ritual? What the hell was she up to?
This diary was supposed to help me, give me answers. Help me to understand my mother more by reading her very own thoughts and feelings and what she did, what she wanted to do and why. The reasoning behind her life and how she became what everyone's telling me she is. Now I see it, the monster hovering beneath.
God, I wish this was easier but I'll get my answers when I'm kidnapped and although Dad has told me not to question her, but rather let her feel I'm afraid, I've got to know who she was. Who she is. It'll help me know who I am.
