Chapter 16

Christmas Day

Currently, it is Christmas day and I am so in the spirit despite my injury. But, you have to look on the bright side, my sister is coming home from college to be on her break. So that's a plus. Today i decided to wear a ugly sweater crop top and black leggings.

Right now, i was putting up more Christmas decorations, because there was not enough for me. I was trying to get the tinsel to border the tv, but the tv is too big so, i had a little difficult trying to do so.  "Miley you're going to hurt yourself!"

My big sister was pulling me down from the waist off the ladder. "Relax Christie" i slowly stepped off the ladder.

"Sometimes i thing you get to carried away with the decorations" she put her hands on each hip, looking like mom with the light brown hair and the greenish, bluish eyes that changed color every once in a while.

I then moved on to the Christmas tree, I shook my head dissatisfied that someone put two red ornaments next to each other. "You can never get carried away." i whispered still focusing on how the tree looks.

She followed behind me and started to fix somethings on the silver colored tree but, i slapped her hand away causing a short gasp. "Mom!" she whined like a three-year-old. "What" moms head popped from behind the kitchen door with a bothered face.

Christie shook her head like it was nothing and carried on to her lecturing about me getting to attached to the decorations. "Miley, your friends are here!" My mom shouted from the kitchen. They all came out wearing a jacket holding a few gifts nonchalantly.

"Hey guys, Merry Christmas!" i made my way to them cautiously and gave Taylor, Andrew, and Selena hugs one by one. "Merry Christmas." they said in unison hugging back.

"I got you a present." Taylor giggled as she took off her jacket handing me a gift bag that was perfectly put together. "Thanks" i gave her a friendly kiss on the cheek and then put the rest of the presents under the tree.

"So are you guys ready to open gifts?" i clapped my hands excitedly and looked at the down at the presents fixed under the flawless Christmas tree. "Yeah lets do it." my dad agreed as him and and mom came out with glasses of sparkling cider.

"Okay lets get started!" Selena smiled. Christie went under the tree and grabbed the first present. "This is for you Miley." i gasped like it was such a surprise and grabbed the present from her hands and started to slowly unwrap it.

"It's a scarf." i stated looking at in a confused way going deep into the bag to see if there was anything else, unfortunately not. "It is a special scarf, you had it since you were a baby. Then it got kind of old so i patched it up."

I suddenly started to realize the old scarf. "Oh my gosh thank you Christie." i gave her a hug and smiled. She gushed like it was no big deal, but it was for me.

"Next Me!" Selena jumped off of the couch getting two bags that had Taylor's name and my name on each. "Here Miley!" she handed my the light gift bag, can't wait for me to open it up. I removed the gift tissue from out of it.

"Oh my gosh." i gasped looking down inside of the bag. It was red and ping lingerie. "What is it?" my mom grinned holding the camera to aim it at Taylor and I. We both looked at each other with surprised looks.

"Perfume." i finally said giving her a fake smile. "Let me see it." she held out her hand but i shook my head. "Later." i said. Honestly i thought that Taylor would be the one to give me this since she is the party type.

"Your welcome." Selena whispered in my ear, i hope she didn't give Andrew anything that seductive i should say. Taylor went underneath the tree next reaching for her gift bag. "This is for, Miley, Selena, and Andrew." She handed it to all three of us.
