Chapter 1 - Shocking News

December 17th

Sarah's POV

I got home just in time for dinner as I have been out with a few friends looking for Christmas gifts for my parents and brother.
"I'm home!"
I take of my jacket and out my keys in the bowl by the door.
I take the few bags I got and went to my room and put them in my closet to hide them from my family.

"Sarah, Daniel Food!!" My mum yells and me and my brother open our doors the exact same time and start to laugh.
He might be 2 years younger than me but we are really alike, almost like twins...

While we eat we make a few small talks as usual and when we are done I help my mum with the dishes and the go to my room to watch some episodes of Sons of Anarchy.
After one and a half episodes my dad knocks on my door.

"Mum and I were thinking of coffee you want some?"
"Yeah sure, I'll be out in a sec"
"Great, bring your brother to"
"Okey"

He walks away and o close my computer and quickly change into a pair of sweatpants.
I knock on Daniels door and tell him sad wants us in the living room, we walk there and sit down and my mum gives me a cup of black coffee.

"Are we going to watch something or just sit here?" Daniel asks
"Well actually we have something to tell you" my dad says and I frown

My dad takes a big breath and my mum looks at me with a small smile.
"I have been offered a job in USA" he starts and I just stare at him as he continues.
"In Dallas, the company have expanded and they want me there as the CEO"

"Did you take it?" Daniel ask him.
"Me and mum have been taking about it for a few weeks and I accepted it yesterday"
"And that means?" I said I chock.
"We are moving to Dallas December 28th" my mum says and I look at her.

I sit back for a few minutes letting it all sink in, what about my friends? Sure I will make new ones but that's not the point... And what about this house? I have lived here since I was born.

"Apartment or house?" Daniel said from nowhere.
"A house, a bit from the city, we will still have a pool and we will also get a shooting ramp for you so you don't kill anyone inside the house" my dad smiles to him.
"And this house?" I said frustrated
"We are keeping it as a summer house if you want to go back and meet up with friends you can live here" my mum said and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.

"I'm going to bed" I say and goes to the kitchen with my cup first then to my room and changes to my bed clothes. (A flannel pajama from Victoria secret)
I went to brush my teeth and then I walked into my room and decided to text my friends.

To: Groupchatt
Got something to tell you guys, meet me at Victoria Café at 12? <3

Everyone answered right away they will be there and I put my charger in and out on a soft playlist on Spotify before I drifted of too sleep.

December 18th

I woke up at 9:20 deciding to take a shower and then eat a light breakfast, I showers quickly knowing my hair took a while to dry.
I walked in to the kitchen making a cup of coffee and sitting at one of the barstools.
As I was drinking my coffee I got a text.

Dad:
Black suitcases or red? :)

Me:
Always black dad ;)

Dad:
Okey, do you have work today?

Me:
No I'm meeting some friends at Victoria telling them about Dallas...

Dad:
Okey, make sure to be home to dinner :)

Me: Okay

When I was done with my cup I went to my room to pick out some clothes and do my hair and makeup.
Since it was Sweden and it was almost snowing outside I chose a pair of black skinny jeans and a warm sweater. I straightened my dark hair and put natural makeup on before making my way to the café.

When I came there everyone was waiting for me as always...
We got a table and ordered our lunch.

"So what do you need to tell us? Seemed important..." Jacob said

"It kind of is a big deal, I just found out yesterday and I want to tell you as soon as possible.." I said with my head hanging low

"Spit it out Sarah." Amanda said

"I am moving to USA..."
