Chapter 7

You sigh as you pace around your apartment, still extremely confused as to what you think was the right thing to do. You were going to let Blake have another chance, but the question was: but did he even deserve one? He seemed pretty adamant on taking you out to make up for what he did...But still, him hitting you was something that would be extremely hard to look past.

"Ugh... I just...I don't know!!"

You eventually say out loud, scaring both your cats and Mei nearly to death.

"Jeez, what's up with you?"

You hear your roommate call out, obviously more than a little irritated.

"I just...I still love Blake, and I want to give him another chance, but at the same time I don't. But I DO."

You slump down on the couch and place a hand on your forehead as you sigh deeply, completely stuck on what course of action you wanted to take.

"Well, he's taking you out tomorrow. Why don't you just wait 'till then and decide what you want after you've given him a chance?"

You pause for a moment, and slowly bring your hands down from your head as you look towards her.

"I guess I can do that."

You say in a small whisper as you lean farther into the couch cushions, eventually winding up laying on your back. You then try hard to relax, but you still couldn't get the situation off your mind. If you were honest, what you really would like is for Blake to be a guy more like L. But then again...

L was a guy like L.

You absently thought about this as you stared out into space, but then a realization hit you like a ton of bricks.

Wait a second... nononono..... I can't be catching feelings for him NOW.

You jam your head in a pillow as you realized what was going on, but soon started to relax your body as you attempted to think of stretched excuses for how you felt.

No... I probably don't like L in that way... It has to be more of a friendly liking for him....right? Or at least I hope...

You hopelessly think to yourself as you roll over onto your side and place your hand over your eyes.

"I think I just need some sleep."

You mutter as you drag yourself to your feet and begin to venture towards your bedroom.

"Huh? You're going to bed already?"

You hear Mei state as she sits up from the couch and looks towards you.

"Yea...I think I just need to rest on things."

You halfheartedly reply as you stretch only a little bit.

"...Alright then. Goodnight I guess."

You hear her answer back as you start to close your bedroom door. You then quickly slide underneath your covers as you let your thoughts drift freely, but they always seemed to come back to the same thing no matter how much you didn't want them to. Which was how conflicted your feelings were, plus your newfound little crush on L.
