"Take things slow...? How so?"
L asks as he pulls himself from you momentarily.
"Well, I mean...let's not get ahead of ourselves here."
He's silent for a second as he places his thumb to his lips with his arms still around you, and he moves his eyes back to yours as he shifts his seating slightly.
"I suppose I understand. Nothing too serious quite yet, correct?"
He says, slightly smiling as he runs his hand softly down your hair.
"Correct."
You laugh as you give him a small peck on his lips. A few small moments were spent in silence as you both lovingly enjoy one another's company, and you eventually shift a little bit before drawing your focus back to him, a small smile playing on your rosy lips.
"So...wanna watch a scary movie or something? It's a stormy night after all."
You notice L tense a little as you finish your sentence, and he draws his eyes away as his arms tighten around you.
"What kind of scary movie?"
He sheepishly asks as he shifts a little.
"I don't know...Maybe The Babadook? I've heard it's good and I haven't seen it yet. Why? Do you not want to watch one?"
You ask as he presses his lips together into a thin line.
"N-no. We can watch one if you want to."
He mumbles as he brings you in closer. You could tell he didn't particularly want to, but knowing him he would keep insisting it was ok until you gave in.
"Alright then I guess. You're sure you're ok with it?"
You ask as you softly run your hand down his arm.
"Mmhm."
He hums shyly as you turn the tv on, quickly switching over to Netflix. After searching around for a little while, you find the movie and press play, immediately snuggling up to L once it begins. He tightens his arms around you as the first scene of the movie begins, and he's silent until about one quarter of the way through, where the first scares start happening. He locks his arms around you as his eyes stayed glued to the screen, but you feel him tense and his heartbeat raise as the creepy buildup begins.
"Wait a second... Are you scared?"
You tease as you look up towards him, causing him to jump slightly.
"N-no! Of course not."
He responds as he looks away, obviously lying.
"You are aren't you!?"
You laugh as you scoot a little closer to him.
"I'm not afraid of anything."
He states as he brings you in, taking a deep breath while putting on a stoic expression.
