Dean and Castiel get to PE 5 minutes late, despite having ran the whole way. Nobody else was in the locker room as they tumbled in, laughing and clutching their sides. "I haven't had this much fun in.. forever." Cass says, giggling.
"Me, too... But we really should get changed." The find out their lockers are next to each other and open them to find a set of school given PE clothes, a dark blue shirt and black mesh shorts.
Dean is the first to take off his shirt, trying not to blush any harder than he should because Cass is a boy and this is the locker room and everything is perfectly normal. Cass struggles too, has to force himself to look away from Dean's biceps. He quickly pulls his shirt over his head, puts it inside his locker to keep him from doing anything he'll regret. Cass takes his jeans off, sliding them over his legs and the tension in the room grows unbearable. Dean breaks the silence. "How much of gym do you think we're missing?"
Cass chuckles awkwardly. "I don't know. A lot." They finish changing in silence and walk in just as the teacher begins a game of dodgeball. The teacher, Mr. Whitney, gives them a lecture on being late, then tells them to take a lap or ten. "Fricking laps." Dean grumbles under his breath.
"Aww. Is someone grumpy?" Cass teases him.
"I wanted to play dodge ball." Says Dean with a humph.
They spend the rest of class taking turns asking each other questions. Cass finds out that Dean loves pie, rock music, and his Dad's '67 Impala. Dean discovers Cass has many siblings, likes to eat hamburgers and watches rom-coms as a guilty pleasure. When the bell rings, they rush back to the locker room, with no time or space to be awkward with so many people around them. It turns out, they share English class, too so they head off to their last period together again. As they walk, Dean's hand brushes Cass's, just to test the waters. He plays it off as an accident, but they both know it isn't and, as Castiel's skin warms from his brief touch, he thinks maybe he does have a chance in hell.

In the next chapter:
"I mean..." Dean says, trailing off and looking closely at Cass. Cass turns away, embarrassed because he's not used to being studied so intently. Dean reaches up and turns Cass's face back to him. Slowly, he brushes a stray lock of Cass's hair away from his face. "Castiel..." He says with careful deliberation, "Will you go on a date with me?"

A/n- hai again! What did you think? Leave a comment below. XOXOXO,
