A/n- I know what this looks like. It will be partially explained in the next chapter but until then.... You'll just have to wait.

Castiel hurried to his second period, Precalculus, repeating his daily mantra of "the faster you walk, the sooner you'll get to see Dean." With all of his homework, Dean was practically the only thing keeping him sane. Getting there just before the bell rang, he checked his phone for new texts from Dean. No notifications. That was weird. Dean had usually texted him by now. Maybe he forgot. Dean was allowed to have his own life. After sitting through 25 minutes of math he already knew, he asked for a bathroom pass so he could escape the agony.
He went to the bathroom, checked his texts and decided to get a book from his locker before heading back to class. As he was turning the corner to the hallway where his locker was, he could make out faint girlish moans and kissing sounds. Great, thought Cass, another disgusting couple making out in the hallways. He reminded himself never to do that with Dean. Cass wasn't big on PDA. He turned the corner, preparing for a graphic, slobbery kissing scene and saw a familiar face. Lisa. The Lisa with 18 boyfriends, spray tan skin and fake... Everything, well known around the school for sleeping with every single popular boy (and even some of the unpopular ones.). Then, he realized who she was making out with.
Dean. His Dean. The Dean with a little brother and an overprotective dad. Cass wanted to turn around to go back to class, but he was frozen in place long enough for Dean to open his lust filled eyes and see Cass. A part of Castiel still couldn't believe that was his boyfriend, the one he was planning his future around. He tried to stop himself, because a part of him already knew what the answer was, but still he called out, his voice unsteady, barely audible, but loud enough for Dean to hear. A little bit of Cass died when he saw Dean in Lisa's arms. He had to. Even though he knew he would regret it.
"Dean? What are you doing?"
Dean disentangled himself from the kiss, his long limbs reaching towards Cass.
"Cass, wait. This isn't what it looks like. I don't know why I was kissing her."
Cass scoffed to hide his pain and anger. "This is exactly what it looks like. And I'm pretty sure you knew what you were doing when you kissed her. We're done, Dean."
He put all of his strength into keeping his gaze ahead as Dean shouted excuses after him, putting one foot in front of the other until he got back to class, where he collapsed in his seat, his whole world shattered.
